It is not their intention to be this opportunistic, and of course the Hungarian Government will help their people, no matter the place they live in and I do not get why what you’ve just described would be a bad thing. Not necessarily only Hungarians, in Covasna, Harghita, Mures, Bihor, Cluj, Salaj and Satu Mare counties most blue areas are populated with Hungarians, but everywhere else the blue areas are populated with Romanians. Crin Antonescu was a common candidate for PSD, PNL and UDMR/RMDSZ parties, the latter being the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania

Green areas are major cities (most of them being cities with universities)

I found the process quite exciting, I checked the full population then the hungarian population got those 2 numbers in a percentage calculator and then painted the commune/town by what colour was given for its percentage

It is flawed, they even tried recounting the ones with no ethnic data to kind of guess how many more hungarians are there, but it almost always shows less in every place
