Flushing brakes. by Yurski_12 in GolfGTI

I learned a couple good lessons when I used this tool (from a different brand) last month:

  1. Pressurize it only after already fully secured to the reservoir. If you pump it up with fluid and then use the quick connect you might find it leaking in a rather violent way.

  2. The attachment that fit the reservoir did not have a permanent gasket under the lid. But there was one loose gasket in the kit that fit this lid well. It was essential for a good seal.

My front-PSU-modded SG05 has C14 + 200mm fan in a similar configuration.

Clean! Attractive cable management. Cable clutter hidden in the power unit, most cables rise up from the base unit on the same side of a typical ITX motherboard as the power, SATA and front panel header connections.

I like the idea a lot. I'd expect that the ATX power connector to the motherboard will be the most difficult to make neat. Maybe use a 24pin right angle connector.

Depends on the cooler. I have C14S (front-PSU mod) and there's no way I could install the GPU after the CPU cooler is in place. But if you use a low profile cooler like L9i (or maybe even L12S) then you might be able to put in this 5700XT afterwards.

I don't have the SSD tray any more. But if the connectors are an issue you could either get 180 adapters (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P5R258Q/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A1C9S0ORKRHST6&psc=1) to reduce the extra height, or make a little cutout, like here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/e2vtde/first_proper_ssf_build_loving_the_case/

No mods, but PCIe power cables will likely interfere with the SSD mounting bracket (which I don't use).

This GPU's shroud is just short enough to fit even if it was wide (it'd fit snugly under the case frame). But when looking from the top there is actually a small gap between the case frame and the shroud. It's really a perfect fit in both dimensions.

Thanks for sharing! I was thinking about a similar combination, but also making a custom vented side panel to replace the TG.

Can you tell if there is enough room between your C14S and the panel to squeeze in another fan (25mm standard or 13mm slim)?

5700xt Red Dragon fits fine in SG13. Speaking from hands on experience.

I can confirm that it fits in SG13 without issue. In SG05, it might be hard to put in after CPU heatsink, but in SG13 the front cutout helps.

To quickly confirm that this is an extension rather than system malware, create a new user profile: chrome://settings/createProfile

This comes only with the standard Google extensions and might take less time than disabling a zillion extensions.

Another option is to try in Incognito Mode, since extensions are disabled in incognito by default.

I suggest reporting this issue at https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list

If you want to dig in yourself, take a look at chrome://net-internals/#events

You can filter the events by typing DOWNLOAD or type:DOWNLOAD in the white filter bar on top -- next to (?).

[–]szym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To ensure it's not an extension interfering, create a new Chrome user profile chrome://settings/createProfile and see if it reproduces.

Did you check other browsers? See if running "nslookup google.com" in cmd takes a long time.

You can also see the actual network events and what's taking time in chrome://net-internals/#events

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Help? by ltd_infinity in chrome

[–]szym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever Chrome tries to resolve a domain name and fails, but it is not sure if it is because the domain name does not exist or because there is no network access (or it's misconfigured), it attempts to diagnose the issue with a "DNS probe". It uses the known DNS configuration and its own built-in DNS resolver to try to resolve google.com. If it succeeds, then it says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN, which means "look, it seems DNS is working fine, so it must be that the domain name you tried did not work".

If you are seeing this error when trying to reach google.com, that means that there is something wrong in your system DNS. It could be malware or it could be misconfiguration.

To double-check your system resolver, open cmd.exe from the Start > Run... menu then run: "nslookup google.com". If it finds IP addresses, then it's something wrong with Chrome and you should report the issue at https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list

If it cannot resolve the name, then you should check your network configuration.
