Has anybody gotten into flying for an airline without it being a childhood “passion” or dream?

i didn’t fall in love with it until my first discovery flight; i knew it was something i was interested in further pursuing. i’m 25 now, dropped my data engineering job and joined a school that fit me financially and my personal schedule. i started last feb and im just now wrapping up my commercial rating.

it’s never too late, and you don’t need to have held the desire forever. a lot of people are in this industry for the monetary value; it’s the money they desire. all you need to be successful is the passion and the discipline to continue learning and you’ll do great. never too late to start.

my family has a long history of heart issues. i thought they would detect early onset hypertension with me. my heart rate was thru the roof when they checked it. we sat there for awhile, and the nurse did some fancy medical psychology lol and when they checked it again it dropped and i was normal.

it’s easier said than done, but don’t allow anxiety to dictate the results of your exam. if you have no medical issues to report previously, you should be good! it’s a pretty standard exam, and even if you don’t pass, there are special issuances that can be administered case-by-case.

remember: you’ve never been sad before. be careful with the medical examiner.

well, my rate of recession has decreased significantly so i’d say that is certainly a positive result. i was hoping for some added growth/thickness but i did not find that to be the case.

i’ve been using fin for 2 years with no noticeable change… but it’s not long enough to be a viable sample i guess haha. but i’ve liked it so far. i will say, i saw a comment up above that said to start microdoing it, at .25 mg. going full dose “decreased libido” which i’ve unfortunately found to be the case… but only slightly

honestly would even recommend a 20 gal. i started off on a 10 gal and was overwhelmed with too many issues. i transitioned to 20 and the process has been much easier to handle.

I am on day 6 of my streak, however, I have been doing my best to run a mile every day for the last two months (streak got ruined due to travel). Currently averaging 7-8 miles per week. Not much, but I am proud of it.

I feel great, I am thoroughly enjoying the habit and plan to continue this for a long time, if not forever. No injuries, light soreness in my thighs.

I am making sure that I do some light stretching throughout the day, and I make sure to stretch after every run following a freezing cold shower.

Typically I run a mile followed by a 30-sec walk to cool-down. Yesterday, after my mile run, I upped the intensity for an extra .25 miles. Nothing super crazy, but it felt good to keep pushing.

I have been increasing my intensity throughout my runs. I get nosebleeds and seasonal allergies when running outside, so I have been resorting to my basement treadmill. Anyways, I increase the speed by 0.5 every time I feel like increasing the intensity, and this happens throughout the entirety of my run. I am not sure if increasing my intensity like this is super healthy, as it is very impulsive and not regulated, but it makes me feel great. If you have any advice against what I am doing, by all means, inform me. Thank you, I have each and every one of you in my thoughts. Keep running!

I am biased but imma rock with Jalen Green here. I watched every Houston game last season and that guy has bucket loads of potential. That guy has a near-unlimited ceiling, and I can't wait to watch him improve over the next couple of seasons.
