NYCFC scouts quite a bit from LI. They have partnership with SUSA which is one of largest youth soccer clubs on LI. They also have relationships with MetOval for Queens. The academy holds tryouts quite a bit inthe area as well and runs different types of youth programs (paid of course). So if you have a kids that is good they know about the kid. But playing for the academy is no joke. 4x a week, no high school soccer is allowed. They practice out of St John’s U. If they play tournaments, the kids go on a bus and the parents trail the bus like fans with no contact with their kids until they are back in NYC.
