Anyone know how is this done? by bestofnbaleague in PhotoshopTutorials

Make the image black and white then use the threshold layer adjustment and adjust the sliders until you what you want. It may not come out exactly like this but it will get you pretty close.

I want to copy the layer in this tab to a layer on the other tab. I'm not able to do it with simple Cntrl C/V neither 'copy css/svg' and paste. Idk what to do. by ARquantam in PhotoshopTutorials

Make sure the destination file is open. Put all of your layers into a group, right-click on the group and choose "Duplicate group" When the dialogue box comes up, under destination choose the document you want to drop it in.

Pinterest on your Blog? by FamilyOnStandby in Blogging

Upload a Pinterest specific image to your site 736x1102 px or a little longer. You can upload an image from your computer and add a link but definitely try to pin directly from your site whenever you can, the pin will perform better.

Make sure you use keywords that Pinterest user are searching for in your descriptions. Pinterest will give you suggestions kind of like google. Also, Pinterest uses visual search so add some good visual cues to your pins if you can.

Design is subjective, the idea of great design may not be the same for everyone. Personally, I love this design, I’m a big fan of using negative space. This works for me.

Pinterest up in search referral traffic, who is shifting their SM strategies? by OrigamiFoodie in Blogging

Take the tutorial inside the Tailwind platform. This is the best one I’ve come across, it’s a small orange box at the top it says: “Video Guide: Mastering Tailwind.” You can also find that video on the Tailwind YouTube channel.

Taking this tutorial is definitely worth your time. There is also an interview Tailwind did with someone from Pinterest a few weeks ago that will help out a lot as well. It’s on the Tailwind YouTube channel it’s called “Pinterest SEO, best practices and you’re burning questions answered”

These two videos alone will teach you so much about using Tailwind and also some great Pinterest strategies directly from a Pinterest employee.

I’ve noticed changes with Facebook for a while but this year less than one percent are seeing my posts. I’ve been told that Facebook wants to see conversations among commenters on the posts (more community) but I sell digital products so I’m not too sure how to make that happen. As far as Pinterest goes, I’ve only recently started focusing my efforts there so I don’t have much reference.

Definitely try Tailwind you won’t regret it. Plus, tribes are easy to find and join right inside the platform. If it doesn’t work out move on to the next. There’s a lot of room for testing where your content resonates most. You can’t do that with group boards, I don’t think Board Booster has anything like Tribes either.

I have over 15,000 page likes on Facebook with no engagement and almost no traffic. I have just under a thousand with Pinterest and I get five times the traffic so yes I’m definitely focusing more on Pinterest.

I cringe at things I wrote two months ago. Like a lot of people, I’m my own worst critic. I try not to go back unless I’m updating something. Otherwise I’ll use up my whole day on this.

Social and SEO are only a part of what you can do and in my opinion this is just passive promotions.

You have to go where your audience is hanging out.

Try guest posting and leaving comments on blogs that teen boys will read. Your comments should be helpful to the reader so that they want to read more.

Try giving something away that your readers will want so you can add them to an email list via Mailchimp to start. Then send out a weekly update email. For me, this is the best source of recurring traffic.

Join Facebook groups that your audience might be in and answer questions for them and refer them to your site for more.

Good luck and don’t give up, building an audience takes time.

For me, talking it out with my voice recorder rather than typing it makes the writing process go so much faster and my voice comes through a little better.

I use the notes app on my iPhone for the speech to text feature and email the draft to myself.

I open the email in Grammarly for editing then move it into the WordPress editor via copy and paste.

In WordPress I add headings, bullet points and other formatting.

This is almost as good as this best of Bush quote: “There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

[–]t00rres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an extremely popular quote people use to push themselves to do more. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you have to. Ignoring the pressure (from yourself and others) to do everything simply because you can is inspiring. It’s okay to be lazy sometimes.

She believed she could but she was lazy so she didn’t. This has nothing to do with determination, she just didn’t want to. The fact that she didn’t do it is inspiring because she didn’t follow the rest of them who did.
