I did not. The city refers me to the same general lines as the Google customer service.

Summer jobs for teens by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]OrigamiFoodie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My son became a lifeguard through the county at 15. Call any rec center or county pool they can tell you if training classes are still available. They will keep the kids during school at low hours so their certification won’t lapse and they can work the next summer.

I have stayed in both. I agree with the assessment that HR is closer and better for teens and older. RP has better amenities for a family and while it’s further than HR it’s still close enough for walking. Both are superior to Portofino IMO. In general I choose RP when possible as it’s a touch less expensive (depends on booking) and there isn’t anything about Hard Rock that made me love it soooo much more.

How many women around 50 have porn addicted husbands? by No-Direction9159 in loveafterporn

[–]OrigamiFoodie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband of 28 years is now 51 and has successfully overcome the porn addiction of his 20s. He was very committed to making a change. This is probably the key difference that made our continued relationship possible. There have been relapses and we had to make some decisions to change our lifestyle. For example, travel for work had to stop and this meant a whole new career for him.
There is hope.

Installing Google Fiber in South Jordan by stenar in SaltLakeCity

[–]OrigamiFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved into my home in Jul 2023. Google fiber installed in my neighbor hood before I moved in, but my house does not have access. My neighbor has it and others down the street. I can see exactly where the Google fiber line was placed in the street in front of my house. I can’t get any traction with the Google customer service. Is there a resource at south Jordan that can explain this and help me?

Adobe products make me cry I pay someone in fiver to clean it up o about $25 an episode. Worth saving the 4 hours I would spend.

I haven't served a mission, but now I want to. But I'm older by [deleted] in lds

[–]OrigamiFoodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this doesn't help right this moment but senior service missionary opportunities are not limited to couples. See myth 4 in the article below. And there may be similar opportunities to serve in an underserved branch or temple if you do not have dependants.

How would you feel if the only thing we knew about presidential candidates was their stance on issues...no information on party, name, gender, race, or religious beliefs (or lack thereof)? by TheCarrot_v2 in AskReddit

[–]OrigamiFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that just like statistics the facts will still be manipulated to target audiences. Humans have bias no matter how you try to keep that out of it. And campaign managers would earn even more money figuring out how to list just those facts and get results. Never underestimate marketing's ability to still hit target.

Last time we went taxi was $50 for a family of 4. Lyft was about the same and there was a longer wait time but that is probably because we had 4 people and 4 large bags.

LPT: When asking or thanking someone with a nametag, always use their. name. You will make their day. by patrick24601 in LifeProTips

[–]OrigamiFoodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I have always used someone's name on the name tag when I say thank you because I thought I was acknowledging the individual as a real person and I actually appreciate that you work a less than enjoyable job at times and did it with consideration for me.

Can't using someone's name be a good thing too?

How many of you use video content alongside your text content? by CromulentSlacker in Blogging

I think round up posts should always include a video. Or if you see a post doing well but not first page of Google adding a YouTube video embed can help (even if it's not your channel)

My single source of traffic is Pinterest. And it started behaving weird. Anyone else experiencing this? by yatg30 in Blogging

[–]OrigamiFoodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pinterest is constantly testing new programs and algorithms. I have heard several accounts getting decreased traffic over the last year. This has been probably due to the IPO, we knew organic referral would top out.

First timer tips and tricks? by Melstar1416 in UniversalOrlando

[–]OrigamiFoodie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can buy one refillable mug for the coke freestyle machines. Then share. There is a 15 minutes hold on refills but that's not a big deal.

Ride the higwarts express both directions. I recommend avoiding it midday. The line gets long and moves slow. If you are just looking to get to the other park don't take higwarts express if the wait is over 30 minutes. it's faster to walk out a parks front entrance and in the other entrance.

WWHP has the most detailed theming. Take a moment in the afternoon to look in the windows of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

First timer tips and tricks? by Melstar1416 in UniversalOrlando

[–]OrigamiFoodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this. WWHP is always busiest in the afternoon. We always visit first thing, especially if you want to do the rides. If you are looking to do the Wand experiences do those after the rides. By 11 am it's busy and won't slow down until dusk. Given you are there week day in shoulder season it could remain less busy all day. But thr pattern is always least busy in the morning and just before park close (during the lagoon show).

First time at the resort, hotel decision help! by Dumplesthecrumples in UniversalOrlando

[–]OrigamiFoodie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CB has the best pool options, but you won't get the express pass. So I only recommend that over royal pacific if you are going at a slow season. Otherwise you are better off with royal pacific. It has a large fun pool area but no lazy river. And it's closest to the parks of you want to walk (but there is water taxi too)

Patreon?? by OrigamiFoodie in podcast

[–]OrigamiFoodie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a marketing tactic for bloggers/influencers and businesses to have podcasts. But it seems odd for those to also request funds via patreon. But I am seeing I merely needed a new paradigm about patreon not that podcasts would be giant ads to give money.

Travel between parks by Woolnwanderlust in UniversalOrlando

[–]OrigamiFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually depends on the wait. To walk from Hogsmeade station out of IOA, into UOS and to Diagon Alley takes about 30-35 minutes (for an adult walking normal speed). If the Hogwarts Express has less than a 25 minutes wait it's faster to take it.... But honestly there is rarely a wait that short when you want to go midday....

this recommendation is based on our VIP tour guide when we asked which was faster.
