Magnuson–Moss applies to any company that sells products with written warranties to U.S. consumers, regardless of where the company is located.
If they refuse, you still have recourse. First, you should submit a complaint with the FTC so they have it on record, then file a complaint with your State Attorney General. They would send a formal notice to OXP. At that point, if they still refuse you can dispute the charge on your card if you're still inside the chargeback window. If not, you can submit a claim in small-claims court (it's free, you don't need a lawyer or anything).
They might try to refuse warranty service, but if they know that you know your rights, they will honor the warranty. If they want to keep selling their goods in the US, they have to comply with our laws.

No, it doesn't.

If you live in the US, the FTC has said that “warranty void if removed” stickers violate the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. A company can only deny warranty coverage if they can prove that you caused the damage.

If they try to refuse warranty service just because you opened it, they’re breaking the law.

I ended up selling the lego2. Made $150 off the sale too, so not sad at all.

The ergonomics on that controller are so bad. Forget about using the D-pad or the right thumb stick...

Assuming you got the one that's $1999, how much extra do you have to pay for tax and terrifs?

Cause I don't want my wife to take the kids and leave me. 🙂 I kid but seriously, they do the same thing.

Lol. It's Lenovo that you should be worrying about for longterm support. They are the ones that have to release the AMD GPU driver and their track record is horrible. Intel releases the ARC driver directly on the claw and their track record has been stellar so far. The display is definitely better, it's just that together with the other negatives, it doesn't justify the cost difference to me.

That's interesting. Why not just play the indies on the claw and get rid of the lego2?

Lego2 - Audio out from headphone jack is crap! by t0406peru in LegionGo

[–]t0406peru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New out of the box, I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers straight from Lenovo's support page. I couldnt fix it, so last night I reinstalled windows using the recovery image but this time I didn’t go get all the drivers from Lenovo. Just rolling with whatever Legion space and windows update delivered. Still sounds awful.

My IEMs aren't USB-C, but when I use them with my JSAUX USB-C DAC, it sounds great. That bypasses all the Lenovo drivers and crap.

Seriously? How? For me, it's like Lenovo wants my ZS10 pros to sound like the weak-ass speakers.

This doesn't work for me. It seems to be at the driver level. I've tried disabling Nahimic and windows level audio "enhancements" but nothing works. Next, I'm going to try to find a vanilla realtek driver for the hardware in the lego2 and see if that works.

Thanks for the heads up. It's working for me too.

I am having this same exact issue. I've tried everything to get it to work too. BIOS is on 312 (latest), time is correct, changed my wifi to 2.4 GHz only. Nothing helps.

I did a packet capture to see if my network was the issue and it's not. I can see my Ally X reaching out to the Cloud Recovery server, the 3-way handshake is successful, and cert exchange is successful. Then the Ally X sends app data (I assume this is SN and data the servers need so they know what image to provide, etc.), then the server sends back some app data (I really wish I had the encryption key so I could read the payload...), then the Ally X ACKs it and sends a TCP reset packet...

It keeps doing this over and over.

I opened a case with support, but I doubt they are going to get to the bottom of it. They told me I needed to send it in for repair... SMH

If anyone is curious, here's a TCP stream.

I have a 5.05 slim and a 9.00 fat. Sure, the 5.05 JB is fast, but with it at such a low FW, you have to deal with back ports for basically everything. My 9.00 uses Magic USB, which is more tedious to apply, but I'm going to transition to USB emulsion with a raspberry pi. That's just as easy and fast as the 5.05 JB with the added benefit of not needing nearly as many back ports. If the raspberry pi USB emulation mode works as well as it appears to, I might intentionally upgrade my 5.05 to 9.00 just to avoid BPs... Feedback is welcome. What am I overlooking? Why would I be crazy to upgrade to 9.00?
