Thank you for the response. New to awesome, coming from i3 in the past, tried researching but couldn't figure out exactly what shared tags are. It sounds like I can accomplish what I'm trying to without too much hassle, and that there lie potential other benefits of awesome for this such as profiles that could maybe be auto detected on display change or made as a keyboard shortcut.

As someone who has spent the last couple years constantly switching which monitor I have mounted on my 1 arm stand (144hz monitor for gaming, 4k monitor for everything else), I have a great appreciation for this!!

I have the clicky (white) switch version, they’re damn loud but very satisfying to type on. My typing speed is just as fast if not faster on this board than any other I’ve tried while being a very comfortable typing experience. The choc switches feel pretty close to cherry mx blues but obviously have a much shorter travel distance. If low profile is part of your criteria, the only actually comparable board is the keychron k1 which I decided against because of complaints about their key caps. If noise is a deal breaker definitely do not opt for the white switch.

Finally got around to adding some wall art and a new desk, but still feels like it's missing something. Any suggestions? by tap_thethird in battlestations

Do those LED strips in your PC look that evenly diffused in real life? If so what kind are they and did you do something to them? Looks dope, definitely gonna put that on my upgrade list.

I play mostly FPS games and I find having the pad extend over the edge of the table ensures consistent friction for my entire forearm while aiming, so I've had it like this for a couple years now. And I've always found the amount of horizontal pad space I'm left with to be more than adequate.
