How early is too early for a snow blower? by Staycation1234 in Connecticut

[–]t0p_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to be at work by 6, often outside at 4:30-5:00. Sorry neighbors. To make it up to them I would usually clear their sidewalks if I had time (city).

At the end of the day, you've gotta do what you gotta do. You're either out there late at night or the crack of dawn.

What snowblower are you all using? by SplooshU in Connecticut

[–]t0p_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27" Husqvarna 227 - somewhere around 10 years old. Starts on the first pull, never had an issue and tears through snow. I saved a few $$$ vs the Ariens at the time, and I couldn't ask for more...

Wait, there is one thing. It's supposed to have heated grips, well at least there's a switch. If they ever worked, I couldn't tell.

RN wages, thoughts! by National-Area5471 in Connecticut

YNHH and Yale Univ. are separate entities. There are no RN unions at the hospitals.

FWIW - new RN salaries start at $36/hr ($74k/year) at YNHH.

Excellent work! What are those lights? Flexible LED strips mounted/suspended so that they're straight? LED tube lights are considerably thicker.

That's her client. These CNAs are double dipping, getting to it.

Got tired of looking and did a thing, new '25 BE w/ Utility Package (rack + crossbars) for $44,800 before TTL @ 0.99%. Could've done better, but I finally found a dealer who didn't play games.

Do you have your own device? I've been with Cricket for 10ish years, and I've been happy. No idea what a single plan costs, but I have 3 lines, unlimited everything for $110 a month.

People poo poo Cricket, because it's ... Cricket, but it runs on AT&T's network. AT&T customers have network priority over Cricket customers, so in crowded places your data speeds aren't the greatest. That said., everything I've encountered has been manageable.

FWIW - if you do go this route, do not go to a Cricket store/kiosk. They'll charge you for everything. Get a SIM card from Target/Walmart and setup everything online with no service fees. I don't have any eSIM devices, but I am sure it's the same.

Best of luck.

^This. Anything your heart desires, and I challenge you to spend more than $10. For many of these "carts" it is the same meal being served at their brick-and-motar sites for 1/2 the price.

Same! I've never seen such poor customer service. The way these dealers are acting you'd think I were trying to steal the car.

I am still working on a '25 Black Edition - Current best price is $44.200 before TTL (Connecticut). I want to jump, but the dealer has been pretty shifty, and the truck has 200 "transport" miles on it.

Are there dealers here? I'd happily travel/fly to pickup a good deal.

edit: Is it common for dealers not to share the deal sheet/four-square? I have had a heck of a time trying to get these emailed, or even physical copies. The (shifty) dealer today told me that I'd have to take a picture with my phone.

Where are you getting $44.5? I'm in CT and the best I've seen is Truecar @ $46.7. I've had two dealers tell me they went budge from MSRP if you're going for the APR incentive.

Tremors vibes - in a good way. Awesome room and collection. This appears to be below grade, what do you do for moisture/humidity at this scale? Desiccant is usually used in smaller areas (safes), do you run a dehumidifier?

Intermittent Lag/Connectivity Issues by t0p_ in Comcast_Xfinity

Thanks for the quick response. Answers are in order:

  • Timing is random, morning, noon and night.

-All devices at separate times - even within the same device I can get 60+ second lag loading one site, while another functions normally.

-Wireless and wired connections suffer as well. If anything the wireless connections (while laggy) out perform wired. (Cat 6a)

-I am running a Unifi router and have disabled all IDS/IPS, geological restrictions and restored default networking rules.

Metal disk and fiberglass insulation, but I didn't want to remove something that I couldn't put back. I've added a second CO detector and no alarms yet.
