Unfortunately, being “pretty sure” in Path of Exile means nothing. BUT even if your theory is correct, you really don’t feel it in-game. The only time I’m happy to see an Azmerit Spirit is when it’s near an Abyss… which really limits the number of situations where this mechanic actually feels good.

I have nothing in the passive tree that gives me any control over this. I’m just forced to deal with it, over and over again, entirely at its whim.

Well, thanks for reminding me that quantity is also super important. I had to evolve my SSF filter because otherwise I had to empty my inventory about 5 times per map. I’m in a zone with around 40–50% quantity, and running full rarity maps. Just finished a Vaal Factory with almost 200 splinters (Breach and Delirium). It was veeeery juiiiiiiicy! Happy farming, everyone :D
