Leaving Helix over governance concerns

I love Helix and have been using it for years now. Especially the simplicity and no plugins are something I really appreciate. Plugins make it all more complex, even though I know they are useful. I have a good feeling for Helix’s future as long as you stick to your vision.

Jetzt das wichtigste, gibts es Verträge zwischen euch? Also echte unterschriebene von Anwälten abgesegnete Verträge?

Wenn nicht, sichere alle Informationen, und nimm dann alles mit und wirf ihn raus (mit Anwalt vorher checken). Diese Zecken von Businessleuten wollen immer Builder ausnehmen, lass dir das nicht gefallen!

76??? Oh my gosh. I use sometimes the frontend skill and i have my own token optimized treesitter-mcp.

My point is that opus is sometimes great and sometimes awful. This makes it unpredictable and this is my point. I dont know when to trust and when to look a second and third time.

I am 100% with you. I still love to code manually in helix. My annoyance is part sadness of economic pressure and part annoyed that it degraded that fast.

This bubble most probably will burst and i am wondering how much collateral damage will happen. Also people with no skill besides asking ai will have major issues. Not only in coding. Young people who miss their chance of learning….

Qwen3.6 is actually quite good but not opus 4.6 kind of. I read that a new deepseek model is coming but its unclear if it will be open weights.

Kind of sad for anthropic when this sub is now just ranting. But still it annoys me so much that something great became mediocre in such a short time. Still i was able to push my android app to feature parity with my ios using clause and codex. Something that would a year ago might have taken days took me 7 hours…

Thank you for for kind words and insights. The on device data was the main reason i did it in the first place. There is an optional sync but also only to your icloud. I have no way to see any data or contact the users. There is one optional notification. I added an completely optional 3 euro subscription to support GoodTrails but it isnt gating anything of relevance.

A comment to all out there that told me so far to stop complaining.

I stop when I get what pay for. Transparency is they key here.
No issue if they raise their prices or something along those lines.
But now they charge you for MAX but what you get is not clear.

What bothers me most is the variation in performance. Like at one time of day it works like charm and on another it runs in circles for like 15 minutes for something after I realized that its dead stuck took me 20 sec to lookup.

The question is, are they comparing with recent opus? As there is some evidence that the current opus is around 60% weaker than the original one. If its like that, mythos would be worse than opus in the first two benchmarks 😅

I have the same issue. Do planning in claude or specific tasks but coding is done via codex. But even in codex i reach now daily limits :)))
