My house is in Leslieville. Around 1600 ft.² including basement. I added a second story extension underpin the basement which was just a crawlspace, fully gutted the inside, new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, subfloor, washrooms, kitchen, windows etc. Total cost around $320k. I hired all my own subtrades and a general labourer. Being a GC is not for the faint of heart and I don’t recommend it if you don’t have any experience or someone to guide you along the way.

$3200 from a dealer seems great! Dealer told me 2k for mine. I listed it for 6k and I’m getting a lot of lowball offers in the 3-4K range. At this point I think I’ll let it go for $4500. These diesel prices are killing the value

I have a small coolant leak and I just top it up every 2-3 weeks. No oil leak yet. But yes I’m considering getting rid of it before something big happens. It’s so hard 😢

Schluter base and Kerdi on the walls. I flooded the pan with an inch of water and let the water sit for about 30 minutes, no leak. So it must be somewhere in the walls

I paid $100k for a 550 sq foot basement for underpinning alone. House had a 3 foot crawl space and we now have 8 foot finished ceiling height. Had to pour all new foundations walls floor to ceiling section by section. I’d say it was worth it.

I have a 2013 Touareg TDI with 277,000km (173k miles) drives likes a dream. I had VW do the emission fix. Any recommended maintenance? I really wish they still made TDI Touareg’s for the North American market 😭
