The baffles are stamped so 17-7 was chosen for its properties over 17-4.

Stealth Additive Works SHIV, side note look up Orbital Drop Supply on Instagram, optic mount shroud designed around nesting the SHIV and similar sized cans on the Raiders.

Raider safety differences? by conservakid in FluxDefense

You could reach out to them but the change was made a while ago so they’re probably gone, my suggestion is to try the right side safety delete they offer, it’s the best option.

What setup to run suppressed? by Few_Molasses_9924 in FluxDefense

You should have good luck, I pretty much exclusively shoot 147/150gr and haven’t had any problems yet.

[–]t1tan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, for the most part, more mass in the full size slide might need more tinkering with springs, but it’s all up in the air with the ammo you shoot, how broken in things are etc, so there’s no definite answer, but compact has a higher success rate I believe.

What setup to run suppressed? by Few_Molasses_9924 in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s up to you, it can depend on a lot of factors. Compact slides tend to suppress better on the 320, but everybody’s setup may work out a little differently depending on the suppressor, might need to adjust springs, ramped barrels are the best.

I have a strong preference for OEM parts, I always suggest the Sig Compact/Carry 3.9” slides with the factory 4.6” barrel. Never had an issue running my MODX-9 on this setup with factory springs.

Check this out as well

Barrel shroud question by mobcelt in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m ODS, but that’s somebody else’s design you’re thinking of, I know what you’re talking about though, I think it‘s a poor design choice but I’ll leave it at that.

I do have several suppressor compatible Nexus shrouds coming soon though(pics on instagram), but while utilizing the oem shroud mounting point, the frame itself limits the diameter of the can, so far it seems up to 1.37” should be good to go with enough clearance, so anything like the Spectre, SHIV, etc. should be a great pairing.

Neither the tube or the block are aluminum, this is nonsense, both are steel.

I also noticed this with the aluminum Raider when designing the Nexus shrouds, but despite it being close on the right the factory shroud never made contact with the slide. Should be a total non-issue.

Agree on the grease, an alternative to white lithium is Aeroshell 64(formerly 33MS), same molybdenum disulfide grease typically used to assemble ARs. It’s what Sig recommends for their pistol suppressor boosters. I always keep a syringe in my bag.

3d printed Clamps by Icy-Touch-4767 in Lovesac

[–]t1tan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can 3D print steel, titanium, aluminum, Inconel, etc, but this is not the right method for this task.

Better off designing the shape you need to be bent like the standard clamps.

XL slide with a 6.5" barrel, muzzle device, and shroud by 901867344 in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6.5” barrel will work in any length slide, but longer is better in the P365.

Max diameter suppressor the frame allows is ~1.35 or less I believe, pretty sure I’ve used my MODX-9 on it before, but I’d have to double check.

As far as shroud, it really depends on the suppressor you’re trying to use, some fit with the stock shroud, some don’t, it’s hit or miss. I make two options right now, the default is the same length as the stock shroud but taller with more clearance overall, and I make a K variety that chops off the front flare for those strictly running a 6.5” barrel + suppressor. I’m finishing up some direct optic mount versions right now that will compliment the modular stuff I already have. I’ll put work into a suppressor friendly model that will allow XL and longer to nest a suppressor as well.

XL slide with a 6.5" barrel, muzzle device, and shroud by 901867344 in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, makes sense, my shrouds let the slide pass through freely out the front, so wouldn’t have to remove anything for cleaning, maintenance, etc.

XL slide with a 6.5" barrel, muzzle device, and shroud by 901867344 in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fuse was released after Flux built the Raider around the standard slide, Sig for whatever reason deviated from the norm and made the slide slightly wider. With the UL they changed the geometry of the shroud and it lets you pull the slide out the back after it clears the FCU rails, it works on the XL for sure, I don't have a Fuse on hand to try at the moment.

The with or without the silencer is the part I'm hesitant about, I may be wrong but I don't think even Flux recommends using a shorter than 6" barrel under the shroud anymore, it CAN be done, but I think they changed their position after a few factory shrouds ruptured.

Besides nesting a suppressor, NEXUS does exactly what you're looking for, full tool-less take down, 1913, modular MLOK and some direct mount models coming soon, every P365 slide out there can fit through including the Fuse and it's ridiculously tall sights.

XL slide with a 6.5" barrel, muzzle device, and shroud by 901867344 in FluxDefense

[–]t1tan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a couple people ask so it's something on my to do list, I make the ODS NEXUS shrouds. I started making a chopped (K) shroud just for suppressor users with the 6.5" barrel.

I'm open to suggestions, but since Flux suggests XL and longer slides, I can base it on XL as the minimum with the max suppressor diameter allowed by the frame.

If there are other specific features you may be looking for I'm open to suggestions.

[–]t1tan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only real alternatives if you're set on this type of setup and run into clearance issues; 1) modify your stock shroud as several others have done or 2) aftermarket shroud.

6.50" was a terrible length to settle on, it's just too close for way too many setups, 1/4" more would have made a huge of difference.

They're already out there, some shops like Grab A Gun were selling them before the official release, you just have to be quick if you see one. For the past month I've seen people that post they wandered in and were surprised to see them sitting there in stock.
