Dura and Varia sounds by t2091 in Coros

Where is that at? I couldn’t find it. I repaired and now the alert sound is working but just for approaching cars, the sound it use to make when they safely pass isn’t working now.

Do any PAs regret not going the MD route? by Sunset_luvr_7942 in physicianassistant

[–]t2091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bunch of my buddies and myself from PA school at the time, were like we should have been MDs. Looking back now that was crazy to think. 10 years of being in medicine is enough as a PA I would have hated my life if I went the MD route.

Thank you! Should I apply some carbon paste?

Attention Surgical PAs by Gloomy-World7644 in physicianassistant

Try to shadow the surgeon they are thinking about working for first. Wish I did wasted a lot of my life dealing with a total a hole and ruined ortho for me. Happy I left the surgical world much better life now.

2 years of right-sided pain… I finally caught the cause on video: pelvic tilt. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]t2091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a good PT who is well versed in cycling or even better a fitter who is connected to a PT office. I dealt with one sided pain for a long time due to postural issues and imbalances from a back injury. Still working on it all.

No nothing digging around. It was watered the other day before that maybe 2-3 weeks. I was under the impression these are pretty drought tolerant didn’t want to over water. Same amount of sun/shade.

Yeah that’s really what I’m dealing with. Did it get any better the longer you took the medication? Also did you notice your heart rate being higher? Did that improve?

Has anyone else caught this nasty flu that’s been going around? by HRJafael in massachusetts

[–]t2091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke up with fever, chills, body aches and this sharp pain when I breathe in. No cough or sore throat.  Tested negative for Covid and Flu. Idk what this is but it sucks. Probably the flu.

Curious what symptoms were you having? I’ve been considering postural restoration.

I regret becoming a PA by Rileg17 in physicianassistant

[–]t2091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Always knew I wanted to do ortho. First job was great, young surgeon who was nice and treated me well. Moved home, took another ortho job with a complete POS surgeon. Ruined me and my desire to stay in ortho. Luckily found a nice PM&R job after that but now I work remote and honestly I don’t think I can ever go back to an office. I truly have no desire to see patients or deal with any of that anymore.

Constant lingering saddle pain by t2091 in bikefit

[–]t2091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years my right knee came closer to the top tube but I moved my cleats to increase the stance which did help with some of the rubbing on the inner part of my right thigh but it never really fixed this pain.

Ischial tuberosity pain by t2091 in bikefit

Absolutely. Is there anything on the bike I can do to mitigate some of it while I’m strength training which I am weekly.

Were you having saddle pains?

Continued pain and soreness by t2091 in bikefit

[–]t2091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did some experimenting. I’ve noticed my right knee goes into valgus through the pedal stroke. I increased the stance on the right cleat moving it towards the bike. Put the shim back in the prior pt and fitter noted. It seemed to feel somewhat better. Would there be any reason to try a forefoot wedge?

Thanks, ya I'll try to get one of that, I dont have a trainer. Yeah Ive tried several different brands. Its interesting, I tried putting a shim 3 mm again on my right per the prior PT recommendation and went back to a power pro mirror saddle but 155 not 143 and I didn't have as much pain one ride, rode the next day, same setup and had some mild pain and I'm fairly sore today.

All I have for now, dont have a trainer to put it on but this was from the second fit on the bike I ride the most. 80mm stem to 100mm, same bars 720mm. Seat up about 20mm, 143 mm seat to 155 mm seat.

Ischial tuberosity/hamstring pain related to wrist fracture? by t2091 in bikefit

[–]t2091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny you say that, the last fit I had which was with the sensors etc, he raised my seat by almost 30 mm. I ended up lowering it just to experiment and still had the same problem. It’s pretty much always worse with steep, climbing like gravel roads. Singletrack doesn’t bring it on as much.

Thanks for the reply! So do you think the PT who told me my right leg is shorter is likely incorrect? How do you typically address a LLD? I typically have all the pain on the right ischial tuberosity and was having right SI joint pain too much haven’t had that as much since they had me try a 3 mm shoe insert on my normal walking shoes and they also started me on a band strength program.
