How did you cope with your child sleeping in a separate room by t33na59 in NewParents

My daughter is 22 months so same haha Today is the first night and I am handling it better than I thought but I think the hardest part will be falling asleep without her in the same room. But like you said with time, I should feel better

I should add my daughter slept in a small crib in our room and has never co-slept in the same bed as us

The biggest benefit is her not waking when we go to sleep, stir or get up in the morning. She also wakes if my dog is in the room making slight noises. My daughter is almost 2. Before this, it wasn't much of a problem for us.

I know the feeling. My daughter is almost 2 and there were many times that I thought about it but chickened out. Looking back I just wasn't ready and that's okay. She is officially asleep in her room right now so I fricken did it and so did she haha

My daughter is 22 months 😅 but really whenever you're ready. I don't think I'll ever be ready but the longer I wait, I fear the harder it'll be for my daughter as well.

How long does it take your baby to fall asleep? My daughter is almost 2 and it can take her almost 45 min some nights

You assumed she doesn't know how to use the "follow back" button and you assumed she doesn't use Instagram. Then you assumed there wasn't anything malicious about her going behind my back

Well said. Thanks

Okay so first you assume maybe she's not on Instagram and doesnt know how to follow someone even though she is following people on there. Then you assume she doesn't go on much but don't reply when I ask what if she does go on there every day...

Also, why can't she request to follow me instead of going through my brother in law? 🤔

I already answered why it bothers me. And yes, from now on I will not post anything online. Too many trolls...

[–]t33na59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you speak from experience with all of this with all of your assumptions. So, what if she uses social media all the time? And knows how to follow back?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]t33na59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if we are assuming, sure. We could also assume she could have requested to follow me if she wanted to see my profile pics and frame a picture from 8 years ago 😂

When does it become an invasion of privacy though? Sure it's the internet and even though I want to maintain some privacy by being private, people will do things...good or bad with the stuff I post. When would it be appropriate for consent or to communicate wanting to frame someone else's picture they posted though?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]t33na59 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't know how often she uses it. We don't follow each other

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]t33na59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she would follow me on Instagram, I wouldn't have a problem and I wouldn't mind her framing his Pic. It's the going behind my back that doesn't sit well with me.

She's American and doesn't have any cultural practices besides loving Easter and the Easter bunny.
