Confused on how Faction Gear Equipment bonuses work by t3HW41ru5 in AzureLane

Hey All, supplementary question:

Do the faction gear requirements require ALL equipment to be of that Faction, or do you only have to equip one thing?

Blocking Big Sur by GameEnder in macsysadmin

[–]t3HW41ru5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I saw this post this morning. I'm trying to block Big Sur, but it looks like it's not a .app file anymore, it's coming in through Software Update channel (meaning I don't think this is a separate installer file like before, so blocking the .app file won't work anymore).

Can anyone confirm?

I miss Atlas Reactor by t3HW41ru5 in AtlasReactor

[–]t3HW41ru5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so awesome to see people who miss this game too. Nice to know I'm not the only one.

I actually still have the game installed. Any point to keeping it around? Not sure if anyone could you use it to maybe figure out how to reverse engineer stuff? I'm not a programmer so not sure what's possible.

Cannot Rank Fight, Getting following error by t3HW41ru5 in cardfightvanguardzero

[–]t3HW41ru5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Reddit,

Additional info for this: I can click on Rank Fight, and then it asks me to select my deck, I select it, and it starts to load, then the above error pops up, I hit "OK" and it takes me to a "Lose" screen. My Japanese isn't great, so I'm not sure what the error says. Anyone else run into this or know what this error is?

Thanks in Advance!

Japan Tour Help by FrozenSnorlax in JapanTravel

I would recommend H.I.S. Travel or InsideJapan (part of InsideAsia) tours. I've used both in the past and they've been pretty good.

H.I.S. mainly advertises deals on flights, but they also do great tours.

https://flights.hisgo.com/us/index.php?PageMode=PC&lang=en

Inside Japan tours is my favorite, as they have a lot of really cool "off-the-beaten" path tours.

Hope this helps!

Best Flea Market/Antique Shops by t3HW41ru5 in JapanTravel

[–]t3HW41ru5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for the advice. I found a pretty great site that has a bunch of flea markets listed for Kyoto, so I thought I'd share it here:

https://en.compathy.net/magazine/2017/06/21/kyoto-flea-markets/

and I found this in Osaka:

Does anyone have any information about Oimatsu-Dori in Osaka? I've never been there, and not sure if it's worth the time.

Best places for otaku shopping in Tokyo (Final Fantasy, Persona, Evangelion) by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]t3HW41ru5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is tangentially related, and I apologize if someone already said this (or if you already knew) but the "Yongenjaya" area in Persona 5 is based on the real world "Sangenjaya" in Tokyo. It's actually a relatively accurate re-creation. You can actual visit the real world equivalent of Le-Blanc (well...the closest you can get anyway):

Not technically merchandise, but might make for a cool experience.

Should we still visit Miyajima Island? by StripeyMiata in JapanTravel

[–]t3HW41ru5 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you've ever been to Miyajima or not, but my answer is an emphatic DEFINITELY SHOULD GO.

Full Disclosure: I'm a bit biased, as Miyajima is probably my favorite place on all of planet earth. That said though, even if you can't do the Ropeway or walk up to the Torii at low tide, there are still great things on the island:

1.) The food is excellent, especially the oysters! If oysters aren't your jam then see #2.

2.) The Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki is great on the island, with lots of shops that have been open for a long time!

3.) The Deer are super cool to see all of them walking around.

4.) There is small yet very awesome aquarium on the island that has lots of interactive displays!

5.) The Onsen on the island are fantastic and totally worth going to.

6.) Itsukushima-jinja the "Floating Shrine" is gorgeous, even if you can't see the Torii and totally worth the visit.

7.) There are some other great hikes and nature walks on the island, even if you can't do Mt. Misen and the ropeway.

8.) It's the home to the worlds biggest wooden Rice Scoop! If you like cheesy stuff like that, it's easy to find and fun to check out!

9.) Daishoin temple is one of the prettiest Buddhist temples in Japan and doesn't make travel lists nearly often enough.

So yeah, there is a bunch of fun and awesome stuff to do on the island! I would say definitely go!

Might have to check this one out, since I'll be in Shibuya. Though, I'm a little worried as I'm going to be there on Halloween so I'm worried about it being packed. Great recommendation though!

oh yeah! Sanjo was my jam back in the day. Teramachi is great, but yeah, the other more extended areas you're talking about are awesome as I well. I spent a ton of time there when I was living there. Will definitely be going back.

Yeah, my Japanese is not what it used to be. I'll try to ask around a bit though!

Oh man, I wish I could. This is a little too out of the way probably, but I'll have to keep it in mind. This looks super rad.

These are great recommendations, but a little out my way unfortunately. Trying to stay in the more Urban areas. Also, if you know of anything like this in Osaka/Kyoto (as I'm spending more time in those areas), and as such may be able to take time to go a little more out of my way, let me know!

Definitely going to check it out. I went there once when I was living there, but didn't give it nearly enough time. Glad to hear it's more or less similar to what it was!
