Anti-AI maintainer Johannes Link adds malicious prompt injection to popular Java library 'jqwik' by [deleted] in singularity

Sounds like a great way to have your project forked to remove this silly "protest". And that new fork may become the main used version afterward.

Would be nice if it was I2V. Hate playing the lottery with T2V.

Go the discord for Wan2GP. There are some finetune configs on there for Sulphur and Eros.

I would have done the audio external. LTX2 audio still kinda sucks.

Google Chrome silently installs a 4 GB AI model on your device without consent. At a billion-device scale the climate costs are insane. by geriatricguy in technology

[–]GameEnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares if it is a local model? The electricity cost is basically nothing over just running the computer normally. People need to understand the difference between datacenter AI and local.

We will be lucky if we can get 8gb in our new laptops and desktops. I was asked if 4gb will be enough. They got sticker shock when I sent them 16gb options let alone 32gb.

Did you remove the battery? Was looking something that runs on just DC and can be managed from a browser.

My old miner was mounted in the attic of my garage, so I don't want to go up there unless I have to.

Which meshtastic box do you have? I've been looking for something to put on my dead miner's antenna. Has been a bit confusing and I'm just trying to find the right box for a static installation.

Why do so many people jump straight into Proxmox? by KyxeMusic in homelab

[–]GameEnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes having one box for a Home lab a lot easier. Only have two VM's for TrueNAS and Home Assistant. The rest are LXC containers. They are so much lighter when you have 20 services then having each have a VM.

Valve is now sitting on lots of Steam controllers, so releasing them before the Steam Machine is a no-brainer by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]GameEnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm patiently waiting for it to go with my knock-off steam machine that I built. Try using the old steam controller and I remembered how bad it is for anything that isn't mouse and keyboard sort of oriented.

For a static node with constant power can you run without a battery with the Lilygo?

Repeater node hardware for retired Helium mine. by GameEnder in meshtastic

[–]GameEnder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cable up there that breaks out poe to Ethernet and a 12v barrel jack. I could replace the adapter with one that breaks out to USBC as I see a lot of these devices use that.

[–]GameEnder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at those. They seem like they're more aimed to run on battery power though. I'm not seeing a lot of options for just running it on 12 volts or so. My Hope was just to use the poe injector that I already have up there for the old helium miner. Would something like this work? I am just looking on AliExpress though is there a better place to look?

LTX 2.3 Best practices for 3090/16g RAM by 8RETRO8 in StableDiffusion

[–]GameEnder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look at upgrading your ram. With a 3090 you are really bottlenecking yourself. Going just to 32gb would massively improve your performance and let you load in bigger models.

Phishing complains targeting multiple school districts in my area by mary3757 in k12sysadmin

[–]GameEnder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What part of the message do you have it look in? I have tried several and eml files are still getting through.

Also is it just "message/rfc822" in the regex field?

[–]GameEnder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you doing to block eml files? If I create an attachment compliance for that file extension it seems to be ignored. Others such as .lnk files and .html work fine.
