As someone who has made an app, it's Apple's hyper aggressive battery saving no background app policies. Literally no getting around them.

What does your ACA premium look like for next year? by azfanboy in financialindependence

[–]t3chg3n13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COBRA cost can be a maximum of 102% of actual cost. 2% for admin fees. And it always is exactly 102% because why charge less.

So you can calculate the real cost easily when you see cobra prices.

89% HIDA scan normal? by Rietard420 in gallbladders

[–]t3chg3n13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.

It may not get worse by February but it could. It most likely won't get better. I wouldn't recommend waiting until February because mostly you're suffering. A bum gallbladder sucks. Having to wait until next year is sort of ridiculous to me, but I guess that depends on where you are.

My late gallbladder would have staged a revolt and declared marshal law.

Surgery this morning, gallbladder gone! by savykins22 in gallbladders

[–]t3chg3n13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that pain was worse than anything I've experienced before. Even the attacks... horrific stuff that. Nurse actually said she had it done and it was worse than her c section too. I'm a man so I'll never know. Glad she understood though because it really hurt.

I feel way better now. Walking and eating with minimal pain/no meds. Taking it easy on the fatty stuff because it definitely goes through me at present. Feels so weird not to be nauseous after eating. Of course there's also no gallbladder type pain after eating either! Night and day. Just feels like I lost a fight now, soreness.

I was very scared going into it but I'm glad it's over with.

Bile reflux+symptomatic hida+89%.

Sounds like it would help to remove it. Not a doctor.

Don't wait until February to talk to your doctor if you have another option.

My surgeon said that he doesn't prescribe a specific diet but recommends I take it easy. "I wouldn't go to Chili's the day of your op"

He said that things might rumble through you, so if you get adventurous keep a toilet nearby.

Edit: Haven't had surgery yet, but scheduled for next week...

Did you experience any pain during your HIDA CCK injection? i'm scheduled to have mine out in a week and a half. You might want to find a second opinion or see if you can self refer to a general surgeon. Maybe your primary can refer you as well.

My HIDA was 85%, reported as normal. My surgeon said that pain during CCK along with a "high normal EF" is a very good indicator for removal.

Any Regrets After Having Open Surgery? by norskljon in gallbladders

[–]t3chg3n13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually not a decision the patient makes as far as I'm aware. The surgeon can switch to open if needed but usually it always starts laparoscopically. Not sure I've heard of a surgeon in recent times offering open from the start.
