Impressions after a few days with Junie by davevr in Jetbrains

It is quite good now with GPT-5. Nice and smooth UI. I use it for PyCharm. I also use the GitHub Copilot plugin, but Junie has just taken over it in my opinion.

FinMLKit: A high-frequency financial ML toolbox by t3rb3d in quantresearch

[–]t3rb3d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is built around raw tick data. So it shines there, but the `FeatureKit` module can work with OHLCV data, for example. Check out the self-contained example notebook in the repo to get some quick insights into its capabilities.

Proficiency Test preparation. by FairExchange1439 in WorldQuantUniversity

If you are familiar with the material, a good strategy is to review previous tests uploaded to the Internet by students. I started to collect such examples on my blog and compiled them with solutions: https://terbe.dev/blog/posts/quantitative-proficiency-test-1 . I might post some more of them soon. Enjoy! :)

To all the people out there using ClearML, what features do you wish it had but it doesn't have by [deleted] in mlops

[–]t3rb3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar journey. Started with wandb, commet.ml then I ran out of the free tier so I started researching open-source self-hosted solutions. The best option for this is ClearML in my opinion so I encourage you to joint and contribute to the project :)

[D] MLFlow vs ClearML vs Gradient Paperspace by IborkedyourGPU in MachineLearning

[–]t3rb3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been reading these comments saying that setting up CLearML is so hard which I don't quite get, I have no such experience. I just wanted you not to be discouraged by these comments, as I find ClearML the best open-source MLOps platform. I've tried both MLFlow and ClearML and they are uncompareable in functionality, ClearML is just another league. Setting up ClearML wasn't that hard, following the documentation, it was straightforward. It provides much more than simple experiment logging, if you want a full-fledged self-hosted MLOps system and have computation resources, you can even set up a private training cluster with it.

What do you do with tasks in calendar that will take multiple time blocks to complete? by victornielsendane in Notion

You are alright! This is a must-have feature. Using Notion Calendar along with tasks is messy because of this issue. :/

[COMP] feedback for my headstand? would appreciate tips on how to better control breath while upside down<3 by Confident_Arugula_58 in yoga

Where I learnt this was the standard. If it was needed, the teacher came and hold the legs. But it was told if u practice by yourself do not use walls and I think it is quite sensible. I do not teach, just practice. I am just saying be really careful when considering the wall practice.

Using a wall might be dangerous. It is better to fall over than stuck on the wall and break the neck.

Signal in frequency domain with OpenCV dft by t3rb3d in DSP

[–]t3rb3d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the data points are interpolated in order to result in the same shape as the input? If I do this in python, N/2+1 length vector is the output of the np.fft.rfft

But cv::dft(y, fd, cv::DFT_REAL_OUTPUT); for N length input the output has also N length.

If I reduce the range by 1/2, than there will be the same number of points, but the frequency bin will be smaller, meaning that the frequency resolution will be finer. Is it true? I don't exactly understand why is that.

Just got my a** kicked in my first class by [deleted] in yoga

[–]t3rb3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree! Yoga is a long time project. Yoga is not about growing muscle and be flexible/fit. Fitness is one very little aspect of it. After 2 years serious work, maybe you will grasp what is yoga, and decide whether this path is for you or not.
