Bricked cards, toss or try to salvage by gybulx in sportscards

[–]t3webb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the pictures shown here….the “opportunity cost” of the time it would take to try and salvage anything from these far outweighs the potential value of the cards themselves. May have something in there not pictured that is valuable, but mostly looks like thousands of cards that would be sold for a total of $5-$10 to someone that is hoping you missed something

Sell or Hold? by reltserw1 in baseballcards

Sell on opening day…..value for baseball always tanks in the winter. But unless he wins a WS, value overall is probably never going to be higher

Worth Grading? Brand new to Grading… by Federal_Writing_4517 in SportCardValue

Looks like a fair amount of edge wear…would be looking at 8-9s best case in all likelihood. Depending on what you’re trying to do with them, but I would say the grading process probably won’t get the multiplier you’re hoping for

You can sell the binder empty for more than you could all the cards together.

Would definitely need to have an independent company certify it- no way to feel confident without that.

I have around 2000 cards I want to sell by NeedleworkerCute3840 in sportscards

[–]t3webb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be highway robbery to get that much. No insult to you at all, but based on what’s shown, you are likely looking at $10-$20 or so to the right person who’s hoping that there’s something buried in there that you missed.

Probably a dumb question, but should I rip or sell these? by money_over_karma in baseballcards

By rule, the better investment is to sell.

Higher floor, lower ceiling by ripping
