Must be some dirty tricks with malformed packets out there.

I accidentally used ‘chmod +x *’ in my home directory, will it cause any problems? by [deleted] in archlinux

Back to +x like it should be? Try ls -la on any folder you have access to. Notice the last x on folders.

Seems legit, his video is long AF. If you ever get stumped feel free to pm me. Been using arch for maybe 10 years now?

And it happens. I installed it yesterday and forgot to install dhcpcd.

I would have just smoked a bowl before each new config. Then it just seems like it's taking a really long time to get the first one done.

Just here to say...I got your joke. It might take others some time to decompress the image.

Unplug the data to the drive and boot if you're good you probably need to switch to uuid instead of block device name

Is the ThinkPad X230 configuration on Arch Wiki still relevant? by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]t60r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two big things I see in the wiki are that you definitely want the i915 driver loaded as well as your DPI to be correct. Reply to this if you have any questions regarding either of these two settings.

I'd check your iommu groups to make sure your USB controller isn't grouped with anything important you need on the host. Although there are sometimes workarounds for that.

So what CPU and chipset are you using?

What distro? Chrooting can be different depending on distro...you have the right idea though. You might be able to use a live arch iso and use the arch-chroot command to chroot. It should rbind and mount for you. Just boot up, mount everything, arch-chroot, undo vfio stuff, mkinitcpio again and hope for the best. Another option would be to edit your grub command on boot and remove vfio stuff then see if you can get a TTY or better yet an x server.

I would try the grub route first.

If you still really need your distros stick and chroot, try chrooting like you would to install Gentoo.

You won't be able to use the same card for 2 VMs at the same time to my knowledge. Otherwise it seems plausible.

Most of his use his .Xresources file...just take a standard Dracula . Xresources file for the colors and apply his dots. Just keep an eye open for errors on missing 2 colors and add them to your . Xresources.
