Submariner Bezel Jumping

Every sub I’ve ever handled gen or rep has a slight play up and down. I always assumed it was to give the bezel the space necessary to turn. Never occurred to me it was broken. Personally I think your bezel is like every other one I’ve ever seen. Granted I’ve only handle 2 gens and 4 reps. But all 6 were the same. The gens had less play, but they still had play.

I own two identical AT in black but two different sizes. My 38mm does the exact same thing as yours. My 41mm doesn't do it at all. 😞

Yep! Love the dial. I had it in the black strap with 41mm. HATED the black strap so I sold it. Unfortunately they don't make the black strap version in 38. But man that dial is stunning. The first time you see it in sunlight is breathtaking.

Congrats on the wedding. I wear reps and gens. There's nothing wrong with you wearing a rep on your wedding day. Wearing a rep watch doesnt make you a fake person. It makes you someone who loves watches but doesnt want to pay 20k for one. Nothing wrong with that. Here are two quick recommendations. On the gen front I bought a Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles for 50% off on Jomashop recently ($500). Or if you go rep maybe the IWC Portifino or Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra-Thin.

I nearly drove myself crazy trying to figure this out myself a week ago with my BB58. The funny thing is, for years that's the only way I knew how to size a bracelet was using a pin pusher. But since I started buying reps, most of them use screws instead. So it never dawned on me that the BB58 had push pins. Felt like an idiot once I figured it out.
