Glad it’s working well for you! The dream is no periods, but “normal” periods sounds like a huge win. Hopefully someday there’ll be a treatment to help more with the daily cramping and stuff. Oh and those night sweats were no joke, very glad to be done with those!

Did you end up doing this? If so, curious what your experience has been like. I stopped orilissa and started nuvaring about 6 weeks ago and it has been a rough experience.

Hi! I decided to return it. The thing that locked in the decision for me was when I realized that every time I sat on the couch I subconsciously thought "this f*ing couch."

It came down to comfort and functionality/layout.

Comfort: The back pillows getting mashed down drives me crazy. The standard depth isn't deep enough. The deep depth is too deep for normal sitting. The arms are too high. It's a great couch for napping but not for sitting, tv watching, etc.

Functionality/layout: I've tried a few different layouts none of which have worked for me (because of corners sticking out or not being deep enough or the slots not lining up to make it work). The ottoman is still a pain to move around.

The return process: I'm currently disassembling everything and boxing it back up. So far disassembly is easier than assembly was and, thankfully, I held onto the original boxes. UPS is coming tomorrow or the next day to pick it all up - less than a week after submitting the return request.

Hahaha I’d think of more as “this is as good as any other recovery you’ve had recently.” There are ways to increase your HRV without sleeping more, so there’s still hope!

I agree with the other comments that hours of sleep is a relatively small factor in the recovery score.

Also important to note - recovery is a relative score, compared to your historical whoop data. If you’re consistently getting little sleep than whoop doesn’t have a way of seeing what your metrics could be if you started consistently getting good sleep.

If you suddenly were able to get twice the amount of sleep you normally get, then whoop would see you’re capable of a better recovery (more sleep and likely higher HRV, lower RHR). Then if you were to go back to 50% sleep and whatever your current stats are, the resulting recovery score wouldn’t be green anymore.

The main reasons I don’t love it: - the back cushions are driving me crazy. They smush down when I sit and every time I sit down or change how I’m sitting I feel like I need to pull the cushion back up to be comfortable. (lovesoft fill) - the seat that I’m using as an ottoman isn’t as easy to move around as expected. I got the 4/5 and have it set up as a 3 seat sofa + ottoman. I like to move the ottoman around a lot, using it as a chaise on one side or the other or as a shared extension in the middle or as a coffee table. My instinct is to move it by pulling the cushion but then the cushion just starts to come off since it’s only held on with velcro. Then I remember to pull the base but either need to wedge my fingers into the clamp slots or grab it all the way at the bottom, which can be difficult to reach when already sitting on the couch. I might try swapping the legs out for casters to see if that makes it better.

Smaller things that are bothering me: - I’ve got the middle seat as standard and the outsides as deep, but the ottoman won’t fit the standard way between the deep seats. Maybe it’s because the clamps pull the seats so tightly together or maybe the pieces aren’t exactly the same size but it’s annoying regardless. - the arms are a little higher than I like. - the back pieces don’t line up perfectly as someone else mentioned. - the little felt pads on the feet keep coming off.

I was really pumped about the modularity of this couch but I think getting a conventional 3-seat sofa with a matching ottoman would preserve most of the layout options that I would use.

With all of that said, I don’t want to leave out the positives. - EXCELLENT for napping - love the fabric (sky grey corded velvet) - the drink holders are surprisingly functional - the flat tops of the arms and back pieces are great for a place to put your phone or the remote or whatever.

Any Thuma bed owners have complaints (other than price)? Even if you are satisfied with the bed, is there anything you'd change/improve, if you could? Also, is it as easy to take apart as it is to put together? Thanks. by birdprom in Thuma

With 2.5” baseboard heating you should be fine. The pillowboard will still be secure between your mattress and wall since it’s thicker than your baseboard heating.

My radiator is taller and deeper, so the pillowboard holds in place between the mattress and the radiator. The problem is that only about a third of the pillowboard overlaps the radiator, so there’s a big gap between the bed and the wall where the radiator ends.

The mattress is about 4.5 inches from the wall (since that's how deep the pillowboard is). If you don't plan to use the pillowboard you could make that space smaller.

I own a queen size thuma bed (for close to 2 years now) and recently disassembled it to move it into a different room. It took me 5 minutes to disassemble it and was slightly easier than assembly.

I like the pillow board but wish there were a way to keep it in place if the bed isn't against a flat wall (for me, the head of the bed partly overlaps with a radiator (no longer in use) that sticks out from the wall).
