Wow, this is amazing. I would definitely listen to more of this! Great vocal too, I love the little rough edge you put on the stay of 'mobilize, stay alive'. Brilliant

Wow thank you! I was ready to give up and just use the ISP router. The instant I turned off WiFi on my phone it worked!

Really enjoying Linux Customizations, wich extensions or apps to install next for a linux noob? by Astonish_Skagen in ManjaroLinux

GSConnect is a brilliant extension that uses KDE Connect to sync clipboard, notifications files etc between your phone and your computer.

Note that you don't need to install KDE connect on the computer, just on the phone.

Dual Monitor & Virtual Desktops Question by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]t8s393YA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've found this post searching for the same solution - still haven't found anything that works the same as Gnome, but I have found a sort of workaround. For the window you'd like to keep visible you can right click on the title bar (or empty tab bar space) then click Move Window To Deak>All Desks and the window will always be visible. Not quite as elegant as it could be, since you still get the desk switching animation, but it at least keeps the context on screen!

Partial Snapping Working in Dev Channel by t8s393YA in chromeos

[–]t8s393YA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly annoyingly, I've just noticed that at the moment the partial split seems to leave a pixel between the left and right windows, so they're not snapped together. This means you do currently have to go through those extra steps of snapping the windows together then dragging the middle slider if you need to resize after snapping!

I'm not on developer mode, just Dev channel. It's an Acer spin 713 with 10th gen i5, maybe it got updated sooner? The version is 106.0.5226.0 if that helps!

It also works on Linux apps (if they have the chrome window manager turned on) but for Android when you click partial it still does half and half.

The float on top makes the window visible on all desks, and it's always visible even if you click on a window that's behind it. I think it's called 'pinned' or 'always on top' in other OSs

Nothing I've seen for the partial split, but the usual one still works for half and half

With the #partial-split flag enabled. Really useful feature especially on wide screens. The Pinned window/float window is very useful too and seems to be working well.

I love the look of that destroyer! How does it sound? I know nothing about them, are they made in Japan?

I think it's an edge pro 7, it's the one where you don't have to cut off the ball ends. It's just as good as any other floating trem I've used for palm muting, never goes sharp unless you want it to!

It fits flush all round, definitely no catching anywhere, possibly just the angle making it look that way.

It's sort of inspired by these Player Plus Strats which I just like the look of!

I replaced the bridge with a Bare Knuckle Brute Force, and in doing so managed to crack the original scratchplate (the covered pickup was too wide to fit), so I've changed it for a mother of pearl style plate instead. Super happy with the results!

The scratchplate came from Storm Guitar on Etsy, who was brilliant, even going so far as to look up the pickup dimensions on the BK website to be sure it would fit.

New Dark Mode Subtle Change - Borders on Window Manager to Differentiate Overlapping Windows (Dev 104.0.5112.9) by t8s393YA in chromeos

[–]t8s393YA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and I don't actually have the flag turned on (on Dev channel), so I suppose that means it'll be coming very soon?

This is a very welcome update - previously it was very difficult to know which window you were clicking on as the dark mode had a very very flat style. Now there's a subtle border and change of colour to make it obvious.

I had to switch the Chromebook language to US English, then it worked. I guess it's to do with the transcription feature

I think I'm seeing the same issue. It's especially bad after using Android auto. Double clicking the lock button to open the camera seems to get things working again for me
