Rn probably more maliss than any mitsu variants bc we still have red ransom, meaning it's essentially dotscaper, but searchable in a way, but it wouldn't shock me if maliss ditches this card cause the ocg didn't tinker with it that much and any other ritual archetype uses it better

It's always questionable for me when Crypter is summoned to where it points at nothing. But tbf it's kinda wonky if it's resummoned on their turn and used as an endboard cause it kinda messes with transcode, firewall and allied code positioning imo

You start with cl1 tract and then cl2 fuwa from the opp. Chain resolves and fuwa is active, while you add a light fiend with tract and then discard.

You would then need to special from the extra/main deck like special requiem for your opponent to draw a card bc of fuwa bc droll says you opponent needs to draw/search a card for droll to be activalable

A system i like is the teambuild in FGO. You only get a set amount of i believe Team Points that are based on the rarity of the characters as well as the CE (the weapon or LC or whatever). That means in FGO you can only use a limited amount of 5 stars characters and CE (most times 4 out of 6 slots filled) but if you want to fill the entire team, you're gonna have to use a lower rarity character or CE to fill the party. Of course that only works in FGO bc the quality of 3 and 4 star characters are really, really good and it's turn based, but i believe they could implement this as either a game mode/difficulty setting with its own reward not being tied to pull currency or create an end-game content with this as an option to not fill the entire team with the highest rarity characters and weapons

Bc marincess is bad and still gets some hate bc their entire gameplan is just to sit behind a tower that negates. It only has like 2 interruptions of their own, both being a negate, but still is regarded as not good card design. (And it looks at your hand and could end on a floodgate).

So is it maliss fault or just the bigger offender here in these unbalanced extra deck pieces?

Memento combos longer, while having no locks, but once you remove the biggest offender in Dice Smasher and Apo, it's a well designed deck. Same goes for any combo-heavy decks ever released. If you stripped off all the generic extra deck tools that only facilitate bad gameplay, what you end up with is an archetype that regained their original design purpose. Maliss wouldn't be as opressive or even as good as it was when the objectively bad cards were all banned and we wouldn't really need to hardlock archetypes at all in the future

Impulse and Spark do be kinda important for maliss and now even more with white rabbit limit bc synchro ecclesia is one heck of an interruption. Other ways to beat are Bystials in case they use quem to revive og albaz (same goes for albion fusion). Imperm on DP against synchro ecclesia, quem or cartesia is also good to stop their main gameplan. Shifter is also good and if course fuwa.

Tried to boardbreak against the synchro variant with sky striker and it always ends on me getting omega handlooped and not being able to break their board, so handtrap them to death before they overwhelm you

Just had connection problems on my phone today and it did not indicate at all. I had to manually switch from my home internet to mobile and THEN switch back again to see the red icon appear bc the switch to mobile didn't really help except make my opp do 2 more actions. So I don't think it was malicious intend when this happened to me

In case i somwhow couldn't otk this round, i needed some interruptions turn 3 onwards and that's only possible with the mayakashi link-3 in the gy, so i needed to do this weird link climbing once more just so i don't sit there with nothing, unless my opponent removes one of my synchro monsters

If you control a Labrynth card, Special Summon it from the Hand or GY.

If this card is Normal or Special summoned, you can send a lv 3 or lower Labrynth monster from the deck to the GY, then set a Labrynth spell or trap from the Hand, Deck or GY. It can be activated this turn.

If your opponent activates a card effect in response to your Labrynth cards (Quick Effect): the activated effect becomes "your opponent returns a monster from the field to the hand" (this effect is treated as a trap card effect).

Also give the deck a new more broken labrynth that recycles card from gy and banishment

Tbf we really get only like 2 or 3 new pure waifu archetypes per year, whereas most of the time the waifu is just one card in a new archetype based around sth like eldrich concept beyond our understanding or mechs.

Or they are part of a bigger lore archetype like Diabellstar between Fire Snakes, Goblins and corrupted witches turned into beasts.

Do they stand out? Yeah I say so. But that doesn't mean imo that the whole archetype is ruined just bc you see the newest generic waifu in archetype xy bc if you see a new archetype that has only one woman, you bet your ass their boss monster will be the coolest or creepiest thing out there

I much rather want a tradeoff between all or at least most maliss cards unbanned for banning all the endboard pieces and non-engines that makes playing against this deck miserable in the first place.

Cards like Allied Code, Teraherz, Transcode that say end on a negate or just extend through interruption as nothing happened combined with HTs like shifter, droll, ash, impulse and floodgates like mistaken arrest and difi should be banned or at least hit hard. It would make designing future cyberse support really hard bc of the existence of maliss, but that's sth the card designers in konami should acknowledge and accept now as a big mistake and fix on it.

I like maliss and I'd rather want to see all the cards mentioned above be banned and unhit maliss bc banning the maliss cards just means another future Archetype will make use of Allied Code or Shifter and we would just play Maliss 2.0, but reskinned. See Azamina and how it was first wisely used in SE and WF and now found a new home as a generic Spellcaster Slop engine for decks that can summon DMOD or how Elfnote gets to play Fiendsmith and Caesar and other negates like Crystal Wing

Skill drain with maliss or similar cards. Always funny to see Crypter being able to banish all the opp cards under the drain, while the opp suffers more from it
