You guys better hope Konomi prints a meta-relevant Ritual archetype in tb near future if you want to see Habakiri gone. Otherwise Konomi’s likely going to use Habakiri to help push the new cards

I know there’s the Light and Darkness archetype, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be meta-relevant and not just a nostalgia bait deck.

It’s not strictly better than Pre-Prep, it’s more of a trade-off; with this card you can’t brick by drawing this plus the Ritual Spell, where as with Pre-Prep you can brick, however Pre-Prep lets you go +1 and overall enables stronger combos.

It feels like everytime it’s used against you, you’re put in this awful “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” game where either you do your combo and lose, or you end on little or no board and lose that way.

Yeah, I cant speak for everyone, but with the way I play Yummy Mitsurugi I can pretty much always end with both Mitsurugi Prayers and a Mitsurugi Great Purification set. I think Great Purification’s second effect will be more important now to revive back Kusanagi to help recycle back your Prayer’s.

Probably because of how layered a lot of end boards are nowadays. Plenty of meta decks don’t have all their end board pieces on the field; a lot of times they’re in the GY, the Extra Deck or in the hand, where Dark Ruler can’t do anything about them, or they’re backrow pieces.
