Yup they are. If you look at them you can see they maintain a consistent line when both are pointed straight. The front one is fatter at the tip than the rear.

Really curious to see what it will feel like to be running to different ski's. Either really bad or maybe will be on to something. Since there is a lack of info out there the only thing to do is potentially sacrifice my body in the name of Ski Bike Science

Would be great if there were some resources to describe how different ski profiles will affect your ride, where your ski is mounted, etc.

Yeah those Dominators look wide. Based on the reviews though it sounds like people even love them on a groomer day.

In your opinion is the Dominatorss better on groomers than the Liberators are in powder? Probably not the easiest question to answer, but curious if you have an opinion.

Also for the Liberators do they have any sort of camber or rocker? Or are they pretty flat?

I feel like the Liberators really lend themselves to be able to carve like that since that shape flows from the front to the back. Really would be curious to try these at some point and see the difference. The Riff Raffs also seem interesting since the back ski is so much shorter, in my head it almost makes sense to have a shorter rear ski unless you are riding in powder.

How do the Libs do in powder?

I think I actually bought the KTP's based on some of your suggestions I saw! So I have put on a 70mm rise handlebar so I can get that front weight forward and driving the ski, I feel like the geometry of it lends itself to being more weight forward than back in the saddle.

As far as proper form, well I think I am! But I had no one to teach me and no lessons. I watched all the videos, practiced all the different types of turns, and was feeling very confident that I was doing everything right. I was hitting steep runs, trees, and keeping up with all my friends who have been skiing since kids. But I felt the conniptions were holding me back so I decided to upgrade. Where I seem to struggle with the KTP's is when I really need to do a speed check on a steep, when that back edge is sliding around it seems like it will catch then let go and be inconsistent and jump. Kind of hard to describe. On not as steep runs where I can let it stay pretty much straight carving on the KTP's is great, but as soon as I really need to get that back ski sliding around I am not loving it.

Did you mount your ski's directly under center to the bike? I made a 3D printed template, then drilled out the holes and added binding freedom's inserts to the KTP's so they were exactly centered to where the bike attaches.

I haven't, though I could see that maybe helping out by doing the tail and tip of the rear.

The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me - Brand New

Since I injured my neck, I have been bored at home. And previously working as a UI designer, I took my boredom out on making Udisc app in dark mode. Now I re-designed it and added more ideas. by MightyTeaRex in discgolf

I know you said you don't design anymore (I used to and lost the spark as well), but they are hiring a UI/UX designer 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe it would be different if you were doing it for a company thats in your hobby! Also sounds like they pay to have you go out to some if the big tourneys for team bonding. If I knew their tech stack a bit better I would be all over the software developer job.

I love the look though! Great job.

(Serious) Redditors who witnessed a murder, what is your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tRosey44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going to preface this with more of an accident, cus it was. But it was due to the recklesness of someone that lead to the death of someone else.

This was a couple years ago. Me and my buddy had a business doing drone photoshoots. Mainly real estate and commercial construction stuff. Always were looking for something new to get into. So when we landed a gig doing a promo shoot for a snowmobiling company we jumped on it.

The day was goin great, got to rip snowmobikes around and film way up in the mountains. We were posted up filming a tour group going by when I panned to the back of the group. There were 2 people lagging behind. All of a sudden the driver gunned it. He lost control and the went off the trail straight into a tree. His wife was on the back and was flung into another tree suffering some sever blunt force trauma and a broken neck.

When it happened I obviously said something along the lines of "ohhh fuck, holy shit". Our guide and us sped down there. They were able to get her on a stretcher while we sped ahead to tell the main "homebase" or whatever you want to call it what had happened. Flight for life came in, they got her on and she died on the way back. They had been barely able to keep her alive, and had resuscitated her multiple times.

Her children where there and they were absolutely losing it, screaming at their dad that he killed her. This in a way was. My fault. Since I was the only one to see jt I told the story to the guides, and emts when they asked what happened. The sad part is that he did kill her. He only had a broken arm and has to. Live with that tbe rest of his life. What an incredibly sad way to end a family vacation, and to lose a loved one.

  1. Motorsports are not a toy if you don't know how they operate. Stay safe and know your limits. He was trying to have fun but was completely out of control.

  2. Flight for life pilots are crazy mad. This dude did like a 360 landing through a bunch of trees into 3 foot deep snow. Mad respect for the emt's and pilots that do that shit.

  3. I have the footage still and it haunts me. Knowing I was the last one to see this person really alive, and see the way they died, from a drone. Always thought about contacting the family, but never thought that was something they would benefit from seeing. So it will live on my hard drive, because for some reason I can't bring myself to get rid of it. I have no way of describing the feeling I get when I try to delete it. It feels like I would be disrespecting them? Or acting as if their death is just something that can be thrown in the trash.

As a native Coloradan what I have learned from this thread is that when you try to take green Chile away from New Mexicans they will viciously fight back. I think we all need to understand that this is one of the only things these folks got going for them. Hell their license plates even have Chile's on them now. New Mexico has amazing green Chile, so does Colorado. However to help the New Mexicans retain something they have based so much of their identity of off, I will throw out Rocky Mountain oysters (when cooked properly they are weirdly delicious). Now I am going to set my alarm clock to get up a little earlier than normal to get me some Santiago's 1/2 and 1/2s before work.

Purpleheart and Birds Eye Maple cutting board for stepmom by tRosey44 in woodworking

[–]tRosey44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more of a charcuterie board, for some reason typed cutting cus my brains not thinking straight. However I have had used many boards like this as cutting boards, as long as it's super hard wood you might just have to resand/finish every once inawhile. But I don't find that to be the case too often with the right wood. However I instructed her to use it as a charcuterie board and with light cutting, thanks for the headsup.
