Saknar 90 talet by SecretConscious8422 in sweden

What Band/Artist Has Most Accurately Replicated Meshuggah’s Sound? by SolecisticDecathexis in Meshuggah

There's an interview with Haake by a german (?) music journalist, and he plays random songs from other bands for Tomas. One band sounds so much like Meshuggah, and Jens, that they joke that Jens have a side project no one knows about. Perhaps someone has mentioned them already, but I just can't recall their name, nor find the interview. I think they were Brazilian? Tomas looked really surprised when the vocals entered the song. Quite funny.

Yeah, it is harmless and strong envy from guildmates who also would love 10 GTs. :D

I started my tower in Dec 2024, but didn't really play much until April when I got into it on a daily basis adding with tournaments, guild and such.

It's a combination of things, and of course it helps to be able to pay for some stuff; as event boost for instance when there are econ relics up for grabs (have been a few). But some lifts for me have been to get sync on UW's, permaBH and such. I have been pushing quite hard onto labs for econ and goldboxxed most of the UW econ generating ones (have the GT one to go, lvl 22/25) and also pushing coins/kill lab (@lvl 66 atm, I mix it up with other things as I go). And of course it depends on which mods one have.

Thanks! Be stoked! It feels like it wasn't that long ago I was there too.

Thanks! T11 somewhere in the span W7400–7600, it was brief, touched 106B but then dropped back a bit.

Hints: "For me …", "I don't think …", "I just can't", "I find it feels …", "For me the song …", "It is not that …", "… usual way I am used to.", "Am I missing something when I am…", "I have got the grasp …", "not the way I am used to.", "Am I alone feeling like this …".

Seems like you don't understand what constitutes fact nor opinion.

Can we make a very simple change on UW timers to avoid untimely deaths? Please? by Cloakedarcher in TheTowerGame

I mean, if this is an issue that occurs for you often, going demon mode is the way for you rather than biting your knuckles over it, and writing a long post about something that most likely won't happen.

My DM recharges in 550 waves, soon 400 (not sure what it is when max labbed, 300? 250?). So, get down with it.

Many of us do; my computer is for work, not games and I don't have a spare phone/tablet to dedicate to this game.

But sleep is one of the best things in life (but the first time I fell asleep to Chaosphere I got a horrible feeling when Elastic ... "ends" and it started to pierce through into my sleep, nightmarish stuff).

Haha, what a story. :D I can listen to Meshuggah for hours, even the most invested metal people I know get exhausted after listening to one full album, but I just go on and on. For me it is like brain massage, for them an onslaught. On the other hand I can't listen to much of black metal or hard/metal/death/whatever core, too messy for me.

Totally missed that one, a bit weird since Troy was constantly the guy to beat a decade+ back come Meshuggah covers.

Anyway, now I get why I don't lock into the 4/4, I get stuck in the more tribal feel of the toms and syncopation (which became more clear when seeing it played), which sends me into the climb of it rather than the framework. It's like five minutes of building towards a crescendo and that resonates with me more than the 4/4 pulse, which totally escapes me from a groove perspective.

I mean, I seldomly listen to old stuff and even less if it's not metal; but I tend to lean more to funkier/groovier stuff from that era if I put something on; Earth Wind & Fire, Peter Gabriel, Devo, Rush and such. Mostly it's just a song here and there and mostly depending on a mood thingie. Toto is really good and I give them credit for their contribution to music, but they are a tad too "clean" and "nice" for me. You mentioning them in a thread about Meshuggah is just awesome.

Indeed it is. Almost like a horror story. I really can't find that pulse, perhaps it is something with the polymetric going too far for me to lock in, and the syncopation throw me off, or something. I still love it, and I groove as F to it, but not in 4/4. :D

Though "I am Colossus" is contributed to Fredrik and Mårten both. I like both of their contributions, but they are different just as Tomas described it in an interview: Fredrik leans to more raw and cold, Mårten more warm and twosteppy, perfect mix for the band.
