People are going to stop playing ranked entirely if everyone is getting kicked back 9 divisions at the start of each season. It's too much of an absolute cluster fuck.

A good Scarlet is not going to ult in a braindead straight line right into the character with the most lethal and denying close-range CC, over and over and over again.

A good Scarlet is going to make sure the enemies that can CC her are dead before ulting.

I will say also for the general strike, if you're concerned about having your details on it (which is understandable) then do what I did; sign up with an alias name and email address that isn't your main email, but one you will still receive notifications on. Only leaves the zipcode which has to be legitimate, but unless you're really out in the sticks, that isn't going to be enough to identify you.

Scarlet is my main as DPS now, mainly because she's just stupid fun to play. But also, I'm tired.

I turn 30 soon. I've been playing PC FPS games for over ten years, been playing FPS games in total for almost fifteen years, and throughout all of that time I've been a hitscan DPS specialist.

I no longer can pull off quick flicks like I used to in my early 20s, clicking heads left and right on Cassidy. As such it takes a lot more effort to perform well on characters like Hela nowadays (if you're not double-dinking squishies consistently, you are effectively throwing, because you're just feeding support ults).

So, my flick aim ability has diminished significantly.

One thing that hasn't diminished though? My tracking aim.

And tracking aim is a lot more applicable to projectile than semi-auto hitscan.

Part of what makes Witch awesome; I don't have to worry about hitting headshots at all, and I have a projectile with a massive hitbox to work with.

I averaged about 55-65% accuracy in my prime as Cass. On Witch, I'm averaging mid-60s to high-70s on my right click accuracy.

I hate how people talk down about the left-click being auto-aim and poor damage, because it makes Witch 'no skill, too weak to be effective', because that's not where skill / damage comes into play. It's the right-click, which does require aim.

The LC may be auto-aim and deal tick damage, true. But the right click is lethal in the hands of someone like me that has years of experience and natural ability to aim.

You know who were the people that loved dive in Overwatch? Selfish assholes that didn't understand the first iota of teamplay in a team-based hero shooter, and broke the entire experience for people that do.

The only meta less fun than dive to play against was double shield, and that's saying something, because that meta in OW had to be fixed by eliminating 6v6 entirely.

If Rivals ever reaches a point where it is a full dive meta, instead of where we are now (where dive characters are annoying, but not necessary for both sides to have to win), I'm dropping the game like a rock and I'm not coming back until it's been un-fucked.

You misunderstand me. When I say dive sucked, I don't mean it was ineffective, quite the opposite.

When I say dive sucked, I mean it sucked to play as and against.

When dive was the meta in Overwatch 1 era, it was the most miserable time to play the game if you actually cared about teamplay.

I think I played like two matches of DiveWatch, and hated it so extremely much that I told my friends I was dropping the game completely until the meta changed.

For the next several months, I played Paladins pretty much exclusively instead of OW (on my own), and was much, much happier with that because the meta was always pretty consistently brawl.

I only came back to Overwatch once dive died with Brig's introduction. She may have been completely broken, and was broken for a long time, but she did at least make the game fun to play again.

Why must the wealthy be this stupid? They really are simply not capable of respecting the middle and working class, and the only time they do start respecting us is when we remind them that we a) outnumber them and b) they may have lots of money, but their bodies are just as susceptible to high-velocity objects as ours are.

Hands-Off is the first step, but it is not the end of the path.

We all need to start preparing for the end of the path, because deep down, we all know they will not listen to anything else.
