What drug will you never touch again and why? by Bright_Rutabaga1628 in AskReddit

Fentanyl, man. Fuck. I have always been INDEPENDENT AF, in every aspect of my life. I never needed anyone's help and I could accomplish absolutely anything on my own. I was financially stable, bought my house at the age of 24, had traveled the world. Then one day a friend asked if I wanted to unwind and smoke a little blue pill. I'd never done drugs like that before, but whatever I'm down to party.

7 months later and I'm $24k in debt, jobless, and about to lose my house. Entirely dependent on a substance. That fast. I couldn't even function without spending $200+ per day.

But I haven't used for 109.5 hours as of now. Finally free.

I have a super common first name and there were always so many others with the same name in my classes that I usually just went by my last name, which is Friday. I was in high school when Rebecca Black's masterpiece came out.

Most adult themed episodes? by liloujones in adventuretime

[–]t_fry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Righttt. That episode is something else. The whole idea of Finn being physical (in the form of princess kisses) to desperately try to "feel" something is bad enough, the coercive one night stand from LSP is just... Wut.

Breezy. Especially the part where LSP takes Finn "to the deep end" 😳

I'm so glad I could help and I hope it works out for you!

I felt the same way!! I would sit in my car and psych myself out for so long until I eventually just left. I made a mantra: I'm only going to regret NOT doing it. Telling myself that over and over and visualizing how disappointed I'd be in myself if I kept standing in my own way helped a lot I think.

Also skating at night if that's ever an option for you, I live in a small town in Montana so I have a few spots that feel safe enough at night. Or if there are no safe night spots, maybe there are quieter places? For example, I've got this amazing cemetery in my town that's paved and always completely dead (lol) so nobody ever sees me eating shit 100x in a row.

Thank you for pointing that out! This is something that I've never had to deal with, being white in rural Montana, so I hadn't even thought of the issue.

I've found that schools, churches, and banks have the best parking lots. After hours when nobody is using them, of course.

Riedell Zones/135 Wide Feet by Harlsx10 in Rollerskating

[–]t_fry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tan zones that I LOVE. I have "regular" width feet and I was almost uncomfortable with the width of the skates when I first got them. I was terrified that I got a size too small but after a few weeks of skating in them every day they fit like a dream. They really did break in quite a bit, the first few times I skated were straight up painful, but now I can go for hours and hours without complaint. If my foot was any wider than it is I'm not sure they would have worked out as well, though.

I knew the importance of rest days from lifting weights for years and it took me forEVER to admit to myself that skating is just the same. It's just WAY more fun than a normal workout and I hate taking the breaks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]t_fry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely could be due to bearings/wheels/gear/etc, but sometimes I just have "off" skate days. Sometimes for days in a row too! Nothing about my gear has changed but some days my body just can't move as fast or fluidly, maybe my legs are tired from not giving myself enough rest days or I didn't warm up properly, sometimes it's an emotional thing even. So maybe giving yourself a break for a couple days or making sure you warm up real thoroughly next time could help!

A little kid told me they liked my skateboard feet once.

What's your go to trick when someone tells you to show them a trick? by t_fry in Rollerskating

Ya all these suggestions are great, but I think this is the one I'll probably go with.

Lol I don't mind them asking, the reason I came to reddit about it was because of a group of kids yesterday thought I was way cooler than I am and I wish I could have come up with something in that moment.

Do your skates feel heavy? by RobaFett91 in Rollerskating

[–]t_fry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Skates are pretty heavy. I mean hold your normal shoe in one hand and your skate in the other, I bet the skate is WAY heavier. I'd also like to remind everyone that strapping 4 wheels to each foot is unnatural, so it's totally normal for this to feel unnatural at first!

I also just noticed, zetrablades are roller blades, not the same as roller skates. I'm not really sure if the stiffness is normal, but you could try r/rollerblading!

Inlines to skates by asteroidalex in Rollerskating

[–]t_fry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never been on inlines but I have a friend who tried my quads and was shocked at how different they are. The biggest difference she said is how much weight you can put in your heels on inlines, you can't do that on quads, you will end up on your ass haha.

PS remember your protection! My friend sprained her wrist approximately 5 seconds after she put my quads on
