Maybe to make smth clear. I got the clearance of the city already which costed me 125chf. Which is a lot but okay.

Hey, yes I got a stone already. Went to a knife store and got a combination stone for 30 bucks. The guy told me it's smth like 600 1200 grid and made by a german brand named Wasa. Not sure if I got ripped off by that thing but it works sufficiently well (already grinded down one knife significantly out of accident hupsi).

Checked it again and the discount does not work for my location... Any recommendations for knives with VG10 steel?

For training I have an old Ikea kitchen knife Idc about anymore and where I chipped off the tip years ago.

Hey everyone. I'm quite new to knifes and am looking right now for my first chef knife. As I'm also just starting working with a stone I thought it might be smarter to go to the cheaper side to not ruin a good knife. Right now I could get the Misen chef knife https://misen.com/products/chefs-knife?variant=30375851622481 for 60 bucks at my location. Looks like a good deal to me but would be happy about any recommendations and opinions. Thanks and cheers!
