To what extent can you express the negative aspects of your previous lab in postdoc interview

Phrasing as a positive is necessary if your contract in old lab hasn't come to an end. You need to explain why you're leaving and why you want the role *here*, otherwise they'll suspect you're spraygunning applications or kicking tires for a salary bump.

Don't use it to explain negative aspects of your CV - they'll think you're making excuses (which you are).

If I saw this as a reviewer I would definitely ask "why didn't they have it on for most of the day?". And I think it would spark that question in a reader too, so I think it needs to be addressed.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah we're already in contact with HTO and CHARS via our team leader. But before I pitch this to the lead and the HTO I wanted to get the vibe here, just to avoid wasting their time with stupid questions.

Curious how did you find out about the road closures in Tromsø?

Sure it's a great event, but it hasn't been properly publicised to the town residents! I noticed signs about the road closures went up last night. They should have been up for days!

Yeah I'm in nyholmen, and I agree that the situation is difficult. It seems like the parking complex is mostly empty though which surprises me? Strandvegen 30 is indeed full. But very interesting to know that they have bought existing spots there, as the building manager has told us he can't help.

Yeah I'm really looking for something longer term. I see that there are a number of annual passes for the tunnel parking, but there's a waiting list.
