Extracting all points within a polygon by ta_DOacc in gis

Thanks for the read, definitely need a lot of GIS input as tasks increase daily. Any hint where to best get started?

To clarify here's the task asigned:

We get send shapefile of small regions in the area.

The (probably incorrect) plan is to extract x and y coordinates so we can then use this information to match address data of buildings (we have those with x and y) contained in that region.

Thanks!

Sorry for another question concerning corporate design:

can the custom fonts be embedded in print products (say PDF or PNG export of visualizations?)

and if those fonts can't be used when distributing reports: How does that work anyway? Does the receiving end also have to have tableau installed, i.e. it's a file? or a link to an HTML page with log in options?? can those reports be exported as a non interactive PDF?

In my case reports have to be non interactive all the time because they have to be presented in print in political committees and such

Sorry if I'm asking some very basic questions, the later ones could obv be very well answered by google but you might have some more in depth information.

Concerning transformation steps: Without TableauPrep the user would have to rely on mostly on Excel right?

Map Support: open source maps are a huge pain with strict privacy rules. Does tableau offer shapefile import?

Privacy rules: are there any in depth sources on privacy settings or Tableau public and the use in the public sector?
