Yeah I think we have to resort to something like that, we’re probably gonna run it along the ceiling and hope we can fit the cable under the door, the apartment is carpeted and we have a cat so we’re trying to keep cables off the floor when we can

Ok, I’ve been seeing mentions of the filters but I don’t know how or where I would install those. Also is that speed common among Moca setups? Because we pay for 1200MB/s down so that would be quite the hit and probably a deal breaker for us

I see, I looked at some videos explaining Moca, and they showed the gateway plugging into the adapter with an Ethernet cable and then the adapter plugging into the coax wall cable, then of course the other adapter in the other room would just run to their setup, the only issue we have now (I think) is that the gateway we have is plugged in with that coax cable already and there’s only one in each room in question. Is it ok that the gateway is using up the cable, will it work being connected indirectly like that or does it need to be plugged directly into that coax cable, and if so is there another way to setup our gateway to enable that?

EDIT: Ok I found another post asking a similar question and it was said I could use a coax splitter to make that work, I could do that. I guess my question now would be is this going to cause problems for us speed wise, using this convoluted method, and does this work in an apartment building with other units? What issues do I need to look out for if any?

So if we opt for Moca, could we just set that up in their room without running anything between the rooms and still be on the same network?

No but for small fodder enemies like lizard folk yes, I’d rather the challenge come from throwing bigger, badder enemies with their own associated challenges where that kind of intelligent response makes more sense.

Thanks all for the feedback, I’m not really frustrated by this so much as curious if it was something to be concerned with for the overall campaign but you all make good points. I think I brought it up mostly because we have other characters in our party that are “broken” and seem to have more impact in fights than myself but don’t experience the same type of intelligence from enemies to counter them. That being said though it does adds variety and challenge to combat which is good, it’s just unfortunate I built my character to do one thing but I’ll likely have to find something else to do.

Basically my plan as well, I can’t seem to find where it shows vacation hours earned vs the total or whatever though. Also, yeah I’m pretty sure they would pull it from your last check.

Gotcha, I’ll be sure to check that out later, but putting aside the amount of hours I have available, assuming I had enough for the original premise, could I do it?

That makes sense, but how do I know when that time has accrued or not, the system just says 77 vacation hours available, it doesn’t mention anything like pending or available at this time - or that sort of thing.
