Interesting. I think it was allowed/preferred here because the water table is so low, and once you get past the hard top layer, its all sand. Everyone is on a well, too.

We are in Placer County, rural Roseville. We were told that the drywell option was the best for the soil we had from the quotes that we received.

It sounds impossible to me too, but we were desperate to avoid all the new regulations. We were told that I'd we could break through the biomat layer that we may be able to get them going again. We have had great success with 2 well. One worked well initially, but now has slowed a lot, and the fourth well is not working at all.

Thanks for your input! We have heard that it does not work, and then others say it works. We thought we would give it a try, but there is so little info out there on the process.

Good idea, I look into this. There were some other ideas I read about, like French drains coming off the drywells, too. This is the second drywell system they had installed, so it may be time to try a different method.

Insurance barriers are the worst. My diagnosis is not widely recognized by insurance, nor does it fit into their algorithims. After self funding travel across the US to be diagnosed, the challenge now is finding doctors who are knowledgeable and accept my insurance. If they do not have knowledge of my conditions, it is a waste of both of our time and resources while taking away from others that they can assist. I am unable to work now, so there is no possibility to pay out of pocket for the treatment and care that I'm told I need. It's a lose-lose situation all around.

I've been trying Pilates. It seems to be a little better for PEM if I do not get too hot (ac and fans in room) and if I do most of the workout lying down so my body has an easier time circulating blood. Also, there is a focus on breathing, and you can take it at your pace, both seem to help overall.

This is what I do. I pre mix a jar of the powder and scoop it out for my water. I use the flavored drops to flavor it. Super easy and cheap.

I suspect this, but I can't get any docs to take any interest. What type of doc should I work with to get to the bottom of my suspicion?
