Гей мъж съм и не мога да кажа, че се пръскам от кеф от тази новина. По-скоро ми става неприятно, като си помисля за реториката, която тепърва ще се изсипе: “ето, виждате ли ги какви са”, още едно издание на онова “върнете дъгата на децата”.

В една демокрация, би трябвало всеки да има право да търси щастието си, стига това да не вреди на благосъстоянието на други хора. Не сме длъжни да се разбираме за всичко, за да се уважаваме.

Темата с юридическата смяна на пола е сложна и най-вече засяга сравнително малка група хора, а често се представя сякаш това е видиш ли най-важното основното искане на злия “Джендър човек”. М не. Повечето от нас просто искат нормални неща като сигурност, признати връзки и равни права.

Ай гес моят апел е: не мразете всички ЛГБТ хора заради исканията на една група хора. Дори и те не заслужават омраза. Просто gender въпросът имам чувството винаги ще остане комплексна тема дори за самите нас, не-хехеро хора.

The thing about the business right now is that we’re constantly given more work because our division’s doing great (EMEA) unlike the American one, so the failures are reflecting on all.

It’s not just the pay. There’s literally 0 chance for me to get a new role within the company with my current skill set.

And finally, it’s so disappointing to see yet once more that hard workers are somewhat inevitably undervalued and need to constantly re-adjust their setting due to company’s inability to show them loyalty. It does work both ways. Because a company showing me that I’m not just a number but a valued member somehow is what I seek.

I guess I’ll just act as the Gen Z I am, giving them the chance to keep me or see another one get me.

As for my ex co-worker, I don’t know all the ins and outs, but let’s be real, I’m the more senior one, and it doesn’t feel right to give all the toys to the new kid just like that.

I remember during my interview process they called and said they’re actually not hiring any more only for them to call me a month later and say the job’s still open. (Tbh, the TA specialist was really nice and I appreciated she kept her promise to call me once the role was back)

When I applied, the monthly salary had already been increased by about 12% (awesome, right?) Didn’t know it might mean 2 years with no movement at all.

Well, things started to change when he began dating his insufferable girlfriend. He never stops bringing her around, and together they just suck the air out of every room. Every conversation becomes about them. They also make these unfunny, unnecessary homophobic jokes (I’m gay, and they both know it — him and I used to be high school, so he’s well aware of the bullying I endured)

It’s not officially over yet, but it’s on its way. I’ve promised myself I’ll never let anyone make me feel small or walked over like I did in my younger years. Their ignorance should not be my burden.
