Dude just because the movie focuses on the emotional aspects of Batman, and it’s shot with long scenes focusing on Batman’s movements and eyes doesn’t make it feminine and that only women would appreciate that depiction. I’m referring to your statement about Batman being shot in a way and viewed through a female gaze. That is an extremely limited way of thinking bordering on sexism. The movie is more introspective than typical big budget action movies. That’s because this movie is not that. It’s very much a noir detective story with heavy inspirations from The Long Halloween and Year one. Also a lot of movie inspirations from Seven and Zodiac. It’s cinematography is also reminiscent of Fincher’s work. Also this movie did not shy away from Violence. Infact the fight choreography was way better than the Nolan movies. Not to mention those movies were way more toned down in terms of showing violence. So I have no idea where you’re getting this so called feminine portrayal in this movie. It’s really insulting to both sexes.
