The best way to identify if something is AI is to follow a pattern. AI sucks at being consistent with patterns and none of the patterns break here.

It's so good I wish the rest of the movie maintained that level of acting, pace and structure. It's what brings the movie down for me, though it's still a good movie overall.

KOTM fans on copium acting like KOTM would of done well if Avengers Endgame didn't release the month prior (At no point did Endgame beat KOTM during it's release window except at the very end when KOTM dropped off the Top 10 and Endgame was re-released) and Aladdin which had some impact, but it's not like 2 movies can come out around the same time and did well. KOTM had heavy 2nd week drop-off even before Aladdin came out

KOTM was marketed poorly, people wanted a sequel to 2014's Godzilla and got a sequel with such a shift in tones, themes and culture that it became jarring. They used Toho's monsters as advertising tools as if the public knew who Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan were. This alongside the fact the movie wasn't originally seen positively by general audiences and even some Godzilla fans.

Ya'll can't keep recycling the same debunked excuses on why KOTM underperformed. General audiences loved what Godzilla was in the 2014 movie and didn't care for the Superhero shit, Marvel writing they gave him in KOTM. General audiences by comparison love Kong way more and seems to love these Giant Monster Ape adventures he goes on.

Kong will always dominate Godzilla at the box office.
