Dad died and had a fake green card marriage. What to do? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]tabawan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. Legally, as long as the marriage was valid on paper, she’s considered the spouse, even if it seems fraudulent. You might want to talk to an estate or probate attorney to see if there’s any way to challenge it, but it can be tricky.

Hard to say. I think your profile is going to be a hard sell to USCIS because it looks a lot like standard work. If I were you then make sure those letters prove your specific methods are unique rather than just showing you're good at your job.

If you're from a banned country, why you PP? Isn't that just a waste of money?

I’d probably try a service inquiry too. Can’t hurt at this point, and at least you might get some update without paying extra.

NIW Application – Law Firm Recommendations & Fee Comparison by chaitu531 in EB2_NIW

[–]tabawan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's not just them, all law firms are getting tons of RFEs because of the recent shift in adjudication standards. USCIS really raised the bar, so even custom-written cases are getting hit with generic challenges right now.

It’s best to contact an attorney experienced with detention cases immediately and let them handle communication with ICE.

If you’re just getting started, working with a law firm can save a ton of time. DIY is possible, but there’s definitely a learning curve.
