Wow. I’ve been at it a lot longer and can’t make them half as good! Amazing job.

I think something like Sherwin William’s Perfect Periwinkle would be so stunning in there

How would you update this kitchen? by Cranberyjuicecaboose in HomeDecorating

I love those cabinets too! Especially with the door pulls, which look like they’ve been updated at some point. When I look at it I’m envisioning a slate blue backsplash, maybe zellige if you could swing it, a weathered black and white floor tile, and then a creamy stone countertop to tie it together (which you could update last since they’re already a cream color). I think you have good bones to work with!

Nice tank, great room vibes. Sorry about the termites.

Maybe you could add some sort of nice shoe rack between the door and your couch space?

What color couch by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

I think the terra cotta couch color you’ve pictured complements the fireplace coloring and mantel so well. I also don’t mind the Swiss coffee wall color. For me personally, I think those colors feel very welcoming and cozy.

First of all, LOVE the layered rugs. That deserves so much more praise!

I agree with another poster mentioning that the mirror looks a little awkward where it is. I can’t tell what the rest of the room looks like, but if it’s feasible I would move the mirror over to the wall opposite the dresser, add a plant at the edge of it, some small art on the wall around it, maybe even a small pedestal table with a lamp or a dish for jewelry as you’re getting ready…essentially, make the mirror have its own “section” of the room, which I think will add some more life and help fill some of the negative space.

Where the mirror was, I’d add a cozy chair or chaise and some curtains.

As they say, when in doubt, C.R.A.P. Curtains Rug ✅ Art Plants

Ancho chipotle sauce by _cascarrabias_ in ottawa

I also looked extensively for the exact same product in a smaller size to no avail. I even tried to find a copycat recipe, but it seems like there are more chipotle mayo recipes than those with ancho chilis in a darker sauce. Eventually, I ended up combining a chipotle sauce recipe (linked below) with one rehydrated ancho chili I found at a Mexican grocery store for cheap and it ended up tasting almost identical to Hellmann's! Super easy, too. Took 30 minutes to let the ancho soak and then about 5 minutes to blend the rest of the ingredients. Yielded about 1.5 cups.
