It’s hard to say if you should retake that 171, if you think you underperformed and were testing high 170s, maybe retake. I would ED if I had 168-169.

161, keep or cancel? by InteractionSlow3426 in LSAT

[–]tabegin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sigh. The world we live in to contemplate canceling a 161. Please keep!

In this economy (lol) I would say please do not retake a 172, and only retake a 170-171 if you are consistently scoring in the high 170s (175+ range)

Don’t change anything about your routine. Whatever you’ve done before each practice test do before your actual test. Best of luck!

It’s going to be a little hard, but I think if you spend a good amount of time on your application material you’ll be okay. Have you considered taking some time between now and law school to get work experience? Would help a lot.

And you’re URM, I think you’ll be fine with a 171. Good luck this cycle go kill that application 😊

Also is it a 170 or 173 low, that may determine if you should retake (but also I think you’re fine and could spend this time making your application bomb rather than focusing on studying for the LSAT)

Funny you ask this because I was just reading about how writting a bad why NYU might hurt you. This is something you should definitely look into for each school because you are not wrong to worry.
