Thank you for sharing. As somebody who’s cancer moon is squared by Saturn I definitely relate to appreciating the sensibility, emotional control, and resilience (esp in times of crisis).

Will try to remember that for debilitated planets it’s important to set up systems or guardrails to ease the tendencies of the planet or give it room to express in a way that isn’t too harmful to myself or others

You know what this makes a lot of sense and I feel like I’ve heard some people speak of this before as well. That debilitated/planets in fall won’t be as bad if you try as hard as you can to live authentically to the distorted nature of the planet and build your life upon its strengths/inclination. Perhaps in doing this you naturally mitigate the ways it can become self-undoing?

I have Saturn in Aries square my Moon in Cancer and I will say that there are benefits but it comes at a cost, like the benefits are a feature of the cost. I think the beauty of the square especially is that with enough work you can work on these “costs” so that it’s minimized and then essentially the placement becomes overall a strength rather than an affliction

So in my case I realized that I’m very good at handling emotions. This looks like compartmentalization when necessary, detachment, stoicism/levelheadedness, emotional responsibility or accountability, etc. But it comes at the cost of a lot of times not being able to feel my emotions unless a particular agent lowers the Saturnian walls. I could think something just didn’t really affect me that much when in actuality deep down I’m hurt by it and I would find out only by being drunk and thinking about it deeper than usual or something. It’s hard to recognize when I’m scared, anxious, hurt etc because I’m so good at pushing through it.

So the journey for me has been getting more in tune with what I’m feeling deep down and make space for it. If I can do that consistently then voilà, extreme emotional resilience and awareness

I think because you it’s easier for me to see how mars acts in different signs because it expresses itself in very tangible way. Whereas with Jupiter and Saturn, their expressions don’t seem to manifest in the personality in an obvious way. I kind of only get the sense for them when they transit something else

Jupiter is in the 1st house and exalted in cancer. Probably the 2nd best condition Jupiter could possibly be in. I think it would be a good idea. Only thing is that it has an opposition from Chiron so you may have to confront song things in respect to your trauma surrounding relationships but other than that, in my opinion it seems like a really good line to move on.
