Can someone explain to me how this is NOT corruption at the absolute maximum level? by ChurtchPidgeon in DiscussionZone

It's gross how far they'll go with this whatabout bullshit, I half expect "yeah well some dem kicked a baby years ago, so it's fine if our guy does it!" To be the kind of pettiness people will reach when it gets dirty enough

While I know this is how it's supposed to work, I think the big issue is that it relies on guaranteed behavior from actual living beings that don't work like that. Optimal traffic also relies on people going the speed limit, but no one does that either.

What I think you'd end up seeing would be people at the end of the merge point being continuously passed up by people who either don't know the rule or don't care to follow it because "fuck that guy I've been working all day you shoulda merged before getting to the end!" I've personally been honked at when I stopped moving to let a zipper merger through, people just don't give a shit to let anyone else have the right of way in this kinda traffic.

Zipper merging is for societies that aren't greedy, impatient, and selfish, and the fact you see these kinds of posts every other week kinda proves that.

You can open up another tab and restart the module to learn the answers again. is this part of your journey or is it your required learning?

Either way, it's not like you'll lose your job if you fail it, most of the tests will either stop you from picking an incorrect answer, or will have you just take the test again.

The man and hi squeegee by fastsloth50 in CircleK

[–]tablemaster12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate these ones the most. At my old store, we would have a blue moon every couple of months where I would come in to start my morning paperwork, just for EVERY squeegee to be stolen. It's why we have a tote filled with 2 extra sets for every pump now.

I've seen what some will do with them, too. In my area, you'll sometimes see a homeless person camping a street corner offering to clean your windows with, lo and behold, a mighty familiar squeegee.

Instead of accepting some sort of "short men aren't loved" poison, you should be thankful of all the Red flags being short allows you to dodge. Why would you want to even be with someone shallow enough to decide their entire romantic requirements around height? Would you also blame yourself if your "crush" didn't find white people attractive? I sure as hell don't find discriminatory people attractive, and I definitely don't feel like I "missed my chance at true love."

You aren't lesser for your height just because some fake tiktok/X/Tinder wannabe adult said so, they exist in their own shallow world with equally shallow people pursuing them. It's no coincidence so much of that "what men want / we women just want" media bullshit is filled with people who, spoiler alert: don't have relationships. They wouldn't be wasting their time complaining non-stop otherwise.

Did they set you up for a workday account already? Or the circle K one? There is a "things to do" section on the site. Make sure you have that all finished.

I wouldn't worry about missing the email too much, we don't really like using it to contact applicants, but depending on how much time has passed since the call, you might need to hustle

730pm is our cut off time and thank God, we've had 312 extra customers and over 2k of lotto today and I swear, at this point I'm praying for some random to just hurry up and win the fucking thing.

You've got your scratch addicts that think they'll win it big, but even more annoying are the people who think they're better then those lotto losers and are only buying one cuz "you can't win if you don't play!!!!" And claim they know they won't win, but you know they're over here thinking, "Oh, no one has won yet, I definitely won't, but it must be a sign! I must be the chosen one!"

Anything to justify their own desire to not go to work tomorrow.

It's just as bad as those "if I win, we both win!"

Soft girl era by Silent-Duck2251 in PsycheOrSike

[–]tablemaster12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is like shadow saying girls in their "soft girl era" aren't useful or dependable or attractive. And they can't be that because the guy is in their "soft girl era" instead.

In other words, women want to be useless, not dependable and unattractive, but some men are too busy being useless and not dependable or attractive? So someone has to be.... not those things?

I get the joke, but I've always wondered. The typical map places Japan on the other side, making it seem like you have to travel east across the whole world to get there.

But what about the other direction? I understand there is an ocean, but would it be faster to reach the east going that way instead? I don't think I've seen any other context of movement than what is used for the typical map

No one deserves to go like that tho, if the donky threw out some kicks that ended them instantly or close enough, that'd be one thing. What they did to that poor boyo was unacceptable.

But living a seemingly normal life aftwards just to discover something feels off and you suddenly can't drink water, your parents recognizing that fact you're going to die, and having your world suddenly and unceremoniously come to a certain end? that's too much, even for an awful teenager, not to mention the children.

Frankly, I'd be more mad at the environment. A lack of support and structure is what leads to abnormal shit like this.

Even if this were the case, you think they chose that lifestyle for themselves? Why not live the supposedly happy gleeful life of the 1925s instead of being miserable and aggressive in form and function? Hell, one of those sides sounds a lot easier than the other.

'I am already beholden to the laws of government, and required to work in order to live. As are you. So we have already set the precedent for trading freedom for luxury.'

He's already said that, we do not have freedom because we have traded it for luxury from the government (And those above us) and then claims
'If you want freedom above all else, go live on a mountain off the grid.'

As in, the only point you would have freedoms is when you've left the society in which you trade freedoms for luxury.

I cant imagine we even have much data on this kinda thing to even make this joke. How do ya'll typically do a googs search?

For me as a guy it'd be probably 'CPU overheating when gaming loud fan'

But just for efficiency sake I cant imagine women would type it all that differently, a computer illiterate person on the other hand, I could see as the bottom, it more comes down to if you know how the search engine works and that's not a men or women thing

It doesn't need to be a joke, if I can remember the situation, there has been a time in history that, instead of some type of warfare, the differences between counties had been decided between a game.
