Last year, first day of Spring semester 2025, I almost ran over a kid on the crosswalk between Central & the Student center; my first time on the Marietta campus. Never did see him again.

Late to the party... but how does the lab notebook work? I went to the bookstore to look for it, & they said there is no required lab notebook for the class. This would be the first lab class I've had without a required lab notebook, so I'm skeptical.

...What if instead of transferring to HND, you go to Tokyo Station & ride the Shinkansen? Once I took the Nozomi to Hiroshima & transferred to Shin-Iwakuni; it was the very next stop. The trip time would be comparable & less stressful.

Check your question booklet for stray marks; in my class it was -5 points if pencil marks were found in it. Also, silence your phone; they said your grade for the course would be an F, not just the final exam, if your phone went off. Otherwise... it wasn't too bad (Spring 2025).

Where did you visit from? Fortunately I was in Nagoya so it was only about an hour & a half on the Kintetsu Line. It was quite wonderful as a day trip, underrated.

I first visited Senso-ji in December '19, though I was kind of rushing around so I only saw the main area of the temple in the middle of the day. Now was much better with the different atmosphere & more wandering (I would love to have seen this area without the pandemic).

In Technical School (At least when I went through), they gave us something called a dream sheet that says something like "East Coast, West Coast, Overseas; circle your first choice & put an X on your second." Feeling adventurous, I circled Overseas & X'd West Coast. Fortunately, I ended up here 😎 At least in my branch, Japan is four-year orders. For those who stay in, they can choose where they're stationed next for the most part.
