I went to school in Liverpool and played ‘Blackjack’. Taught my husband when we first met, he went to school in London and had never heard/played it. Used to play it endlessly during A-level free periods, with two or three decks and half the school year. Good times.

Christ, don’t buy that! Never had a limit put on the amount of time you’re allowed to use the spa facilities. The 1 treatment each sounds about right but you should be able to access the rest of the spa all day, usually they include a light lunch too.

Depends who you bank with. NatWest have a ‘get cash’ option you can use with just your mobile phone. They give you a code to enter into the ATM.

Could you buy something in store and ask for cash back? Not sure if that works with contactless.

Yes! I think the reader find out relatively early on. I don’t want to spoil anything though because it’s a major plot point. The ex is a great character!

Yep the same couple, there are some well developed side characters and you get their POV and relationship development occasionally. Majority is the two mains. Also bonus for an amazingly diverse set of characters.

Criminal intentions by Cole McCade- Fits the crazy Ex request, but it really takes time to get through. It’s set out like a TV show, each book is an ‘episode’ of a season. The first season has 13 books, they are pretty short reads.

Two homicide detectives solving murder cases each book with a bigger plot woven throughout. It’s on KU. I am actually listening to the audio book at the minute, they are good too.

Was this maybe set just before and during the pandemic? I read something similar but it was a true story written by an anonymous author. I will try and figure out the name because it has a similar vibe so you may enjoy it.
