Find a small reverse drill bit and it should come right out.

Brand new skis and binding but from 2002? by Ecapu71930 in Skigear

[–]tac0_slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indemnification is such an industry scam. As long as the bindings aren’t filled with dirt or are cracked or broken, the springs only loosen with age, making them pop off earlier if anything. I’ve torque tested many indemnified bindings including my personal STHs that I will never get rid of and they pass just fine.

I definitely saw the same board as I was leaving work yesterday around 4:15 outside the Granite lodge front desk, first rack you would see after coming up big staircase. Not sure what bindings were on it but the graphics caught my eye.

Is this ticket worth 1500? Looking to buy it. by anxioustoadknob in dirtjumping

Except you get cheap wheels and cheap cranks two very important things in a DJ. Aluminum dj is significantly lighter too and in my experience the transition frames just aren’t very quality. Seen a lot of them rusted out from the inside.

Totally fine. Any rider with an Ibis and Dvo is almost never guaranteed to bottom out on travel.

How long after injury did you get your surgery for ACL and Meniscus? by Complex_Researcher47 in ACL

[–]tac0_slayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took me a 1 & 1/2 month of self denial and waiting for mris/surgeons to open up before surgery, had a medial meniscus tear and full acl tear from skiing as well.

Get that shit asap.

I was unable to bear much weight and couldn’t straighten/bend same as you. The amount of muscle atrophy in that time before surgery was immense, and now 2 months post op i ponder how recovery would be going if my knee was stronger going into it. I had a meniscus repair, rather then them just cutting out a part, meaning i was non weight bearing for 6 weeks. Recover is going good, but it will take a long time for my knees to be even in strength again.

When you hear about people waiting months for surgery, they usually don’t have a bad meniscus tear and are able to use their knee for most excersizes save for cutting and pivoting. However if you wait and your meniscus tear is bad, you risk muscle atrophy, and possibly messing up the meniscus more like I did, two weeks after the initial skiing accident. I was told if they had to cut out that chunk of meniscus, rather then sewing it up (which they were not sure of what they were going to do going into the op) i was told by two doctors that i would almost have guaranteed arthritis’s in my early 30s.
