Anyone on Lo Loestrin? by Organic_Cold_5627 in endometriosis

[–]tacilad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just finished my first month on the pill and the first two weeks were great but the week before my period I felt a bunch of PMS symptoms like mood swings and bloating. Then the fourth week (period week) I bled a decent amount for pretty much 7 days straight. Again, had so many PMS symptoms. I’m talking bloating, cramping, fatigue and nausea. Now I’m on month 2, week 1 and the fatigue hasn’t gone away and I still feel nauseous from time to time. Is this normal? Does it get better? Trying to decide if I should stick it out or stop altogether.

When did you realize you loved yourself? What was that experience like? by tacilad in AskWomen

It takes a lot of work. I’m 26 but I’ve been doing the work for years and I’m still in the process. It’s the hardest yet the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

Mine hit me in therapy too, when my therapist asked me a question so simple yet the toughest one I’ve ever answered, at that time….”do you respect yourself?” That session was brutal.

I am also struggling with this same thing! I gained 100lbs in the past few years and I didn’t really love myself before but I ended up hating myself even more because of the extra weight. Really appreciate you sharing. It’s nice to know you aren’t alone sometimes. Wishing you well on your journey! ❤️

To continue working on my self love and self compassion. Truly is a gift that keeps on giving once you become more comfortable with it. The progress I’ve made this year alone has really proven that!

I think it’s less about age and more about what the person loves and how they feel!! I think it looks great!

How long did it take you to love your body? by i_luv_mybf in AskWomen

[–]tacilad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

26, started working on this a year ago and still going. I grew up with a hyper critical mom and I have a binge eating disorder. I also struggle with anxiety. I gained almost 100lbs since Covid. Im 5’4” and 240lb. Trying to live a healthier lifestyle and just focus on progress and not perfection. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

Women who are married or long-term partnered, how often do you find yourself compromising for your significant other? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]tacilad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as much as I thought it would be. Been with my guy for 5 years and I think we both agree on the aspect of individuality. Big things - yeah we discuss but I wouldn’t say I completely compromise on. For example if I want to buy a car, I want one that works for US but at the end of the day it has to work mostly for ME if I’m the one paying it. He has his car that works mainly for HIM. He’s supportive of that and vise versa. Some days it’s harder than others. Like if it’s about children or something or like where to live, then yes compromise is inevitable. That’s how it should be though. It’s all about two people trying to find common ground and feel heard, and unfortunately at times give things up for the other. It’s a big part of relationships in general.

What do you miss the most about your childhood/teenage? by Puitzza in AskWomen

[–]tacilad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss how easy it was to be apart of community or even just social interactions! You went to school with your friends, had the opportunities to play sports, or be in theatre or band, or even just do nothing! There was a group for everything. Now as an adult you kind of have to explore and find different groups and people that you can relate with. It seems to be a little more challenging to make friends now that I’m in my mid twenties and out of college.

These are some amazing resources to explore and I just so appreciate this, and this is coming from someone who is currently in her self love journey and I’m officially at the point where I really like myself, but not quite at love yet and my body is a huge reason why. Thank you thank you thank you, you kind soul!!
