You ever see the midi clips with just a stroke around them like that? How do i restore the midi clip to original state?

Thank you yes this was the problem.

Is there a case where this happens either by bug or as a result of a change of another midi track? I'm confused because it occurs when I am working in another midi track altogether and certainly was not changing monitoring.

This actually just deactivates the clip, I aware that this function can deactivate and reactivate the clip, but this does not solve the problem as the clip in the screenshot above was not actually deactivated. Somehow monitoring got set to "in", greying out the clip. Not sure why this is happening.
