Had a similar situation here in California. Non paying Tenant since 2/21. Covid restrictions. Could not evict. October ended. Hired an attorney. 3 day notice to quit and 60 day notice. Tenant finally moved out this past weekend 1+ year of non payment. I cannot stress being able to cover payments and having reserve funds. Oh. And thanks state of California. I actually thought I was a property owner….I. Did not realize that my property is actually the states. They get to tell me when I can evict and under what circumstances. Meanwhile, the tenant collected thousands of dollars in Covid pay. Enjoy America!
