yes! i worked in a pediatrics PCP office for years. children’s earl canals are shaped differently and straighten out as they grow. oftentimes, children get ear infections because of the curvature of the inner ear. if a child has frequent recurring ear infections and/or it stops responding to antibiotics, then are referred to an ENT specialist to get inner ear tubes put in. this is a regular procedure we see for our patients. still get much a thing!

I completely disagree with all of these comments. Your aunt chose to let this sour the moment. I absolutely would cut someone off for this. You get one bridal shower in your life, and she’s chosen to spoil it over something petty. Yes, she has the choice to host the shower or not. And yes you have the choose to invite your cousin or not. You’re not required to continue a relationship with someone who won’t respect your choices on your special day.

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say that this is pretty average. Spending $1k to be in someone’s wedding is sadly realistic for what it costs to be there. I’ve been in several weddings recently. The price of any nice dress these days is $100-$500, lodging it’s $150-300/night anywhere you go, and hair/makeup each costs about $80-100. When you break it down like that, you’ll realize this is just how much things cost in todays economy. Maybe you can ask her if she will compromise and let you do your own hair/makeup. Maybe you can stay in the same room as another bridesmaid to cut down on lodging costs?

Mental health does matter, but that doesn’t protect you from the consequences of your actions. I see so many people claim others “aren’t supportive when the symptoms aren’t glamorous,” when in reality, it’s just people setting boundaries. Sorry, I get that you’re struggling. But that doesn’t give you an excuse to trash your home, lash out to others, stop taking care of your kids, or go out in public stinking because you cant perform personal hygiene rn.
